Hiddy stifling a belch, Cosmo looking like he's been kicked in the nuts, LD taking a dump outside Jyarinco, 'wild man' KAWS - I wish the guy would calm down . . . he's CRAZY! . . . Killer pictures Carl . . . looks like you had a blast and earned the goodies! Post more pics when yer get chance, they made a wet, wild Wednesday in the grim North a whole lot more bearable!
she's got nice legs. and her smiles are nice too--I mean her smile. I was just referring to one thing not two. I see a lot of cosplaying japanese women in event photos. it seems like you can make a living just looking cute, but I dunno. nothing wrong with beautiful women nerding it up.
SDCC could take a lesson from these events, fat klingon babes and haggard meth strippers dressed up as Slave Leia pale in comparison...
Hey, thanks so much for all teh nice comments. I like to share the pics, but also don't want to come across as showing off. But what I hope this conveys, and judging by all teh responses it does, is that it was AMAZING to meet the poeple who create the toys we all love. The great news is that nearly all of them are super cool, and just as excited by the toys as we are! This trip was a huge drain on my resources, and add to that my uncontrolled spending (yes, guilty!), BUT it was also mission accomplished as it really was the trip of a lifetime! Got a few questions along the way, so here's some answers: Colin is well used to LASK, and likes the toys - when he stays with me in LA he has to be! His room is filled with them! Yep, meeting the people does add a new level to the enjoyment of teh toys. Probably most of all was Mori's great humour and friendliness - the guy rules! I also have to thank Don for making teh intro's - Don speaks amazing Japanese, and knows everyone! SB are looking for staff - so Ribbon if you are a hottie, you could be in! I can't believe we did this in a week as well - insane - no wonder we are both wasted now! No Scott, I won't be your Uncle, but I do have a gift for you More pics? Really want to see 'em? I do have lots more - including a ton of video. I took 714 pics - ULP! Yep, I visited BxH in Harajuku - looked at teh clothing - which is the same price as at Span - and checked out teh vibe. Didn't take pics as teh locals act a bit hardcore, and I wasn't sure pics would go down well. Lots of clothes for sale, and not many toys. Yup, teh Mammoth is a Fewture Mammoth. They had three new ones on display, but like a lot of stuff at Hobby Complex, it was being displayed ahaed of time - so I was disappointed they had no Mammoths for sale. But, after hearing my plight- the Fewture guys dismantled their display and found an old one in a box they were using to hold up teh display. So cool as it was teh GID one - which they sold me for 5500 yen - which would have been $50 if I hadn't exchanged currency here in LA and got such a crap rate! Still very cool tho as I have always wanted one!
You've definately got 'bragging rights', and the pics are awesome---keep on showing off! I love Tokyo. Greatest city in the world.
MORE PICS! Me and the wife have been wanting to hit Japan for.......ever!!?!? Even before I collected JP Vinyl. But so many things get in the way, I'm thinking within the next 2 years we'll be able to go. But until than, I love all the pics and "bragging" you've earned it and it also allows me to live through you....which is weird since we never met in person.
