I have been collecting Splurrt since Jan 2012. Not really sure about the Zombi Skull (1st pic), can anyone give me some info on it? Also what version of Rebel Ink that I have (its chrome w/ flocked bandana and pants)? Sorry kind of new to this. I have this one on the way, was a pre-order. Buying this one on Tuesday:
Re: The Start of my Kaiju collection I wasn't aware that the only good collections had to be large collections...but to each to their own, etc. Dj, That Rebel Ink is the "Premium Silver Chrome" version that came out in late 2009. Definitely one of the better looking rebel inks despite the fragility of the chrome paint job. Just be sure not to put it next it to a heater or touch it too much and it will shine for years to come.
Re: The Start of my Kaiju collection That first toy is by vinyl junkies. Very cool, underrated figure. Maybe because the wide stance takes up a lot of space. Sculpted by Cosmo Liquid. Keep it up. Personally I think we need an influx of new collectors to keep this hobby growing. Always happy when my own toys attract new collectors.
Re: The Start of my Kaiju collection Nice start but you might want to change kaiju to sofubi lest you give the nerds heart palpitations and blurred vision.
Re: The Start of my Kaiju collection Will do. Hahaha. Thanks Joe......CK is def my all time fav., and opened my eyes to this side of collecting.
Re: The Start of my Kaiju collection I've always wanted to start collecting those vinyl junkies figures
Re: The Start of my Sofubi collection I love th vinyl junkies pumpkin head zombi's they are modeled after the Misfits Halloween album cover.
Re: The Start of my Sofubi collection http://goingbrokevinyl.blogspot.com/200 ... me-of.html This link has the information about all the Skull Zombis, it said the one I have is limited to only 15 pcs made. Looks like I have good taste, I picked it at random.....its pretty damn rare. "Red & Black SF 43 LTD 15 pcs. July 2007"
Re: The Start of my Sofubi collection They may be rare but hardly anyone was chasing after those. Others would sit around on TT forever.
Re: The Start of my Sofubi collection Oh well........I like it. Really cool marbling work in the vinyl. Think I will keep it forever!
Re: The Start of my Sofubi collection lol... i've got a bunch of Vinyl Junkies I can sell you . I think it was only me, Rick and Tinman that bought them. Cool figures.
Re: The Start of my Sofubi collection rarity is sometimes a nice thing to hunt for sometimes when you focus on something. but to want it just because it's rare is kind of derpy. a lot of pieces that I've owned that were "rare", I wish they made more of. More people can know it's awesomeness, it'll cost less because the demand vs. supply thing, and if I ever lost or damaged it, I could find a replacement
Re: The Start of my Sofubi collection I wasn't saying rare=good, or popular= good, just stating fact that its probably easy to track these down as they never really were generally liked around here.
Re: The Start of my Sofubi collection Good start all around. Also, that's my favorite of the T9G Helpers.
Re: The Start of my Sofubi collection Thanks Animator. Its def one of my favorite pieces also. Looks badass with the helmet on and off.
Re: The Start of my Sofubi collection I could have bought a number of different Kaiju or Sofubi pieces on Tuesday. This one caught my attention the most. I guess I am stuck in btwn worlds......I can see by other collections that this def isnt in the same category as traditional Kaiju. I am very new to all of this and at the time I thought it was considered Kaiju, but I was wrong. I am still learning........bare with me.
Re: The Start of my Sofubi collection I had a few of them when I was trying to get damn near anything fight figure years ago. Looking back, I don't know what I was thinking.
