Thank you, 666doll, for starting this positive-minded dialog, not least of which because it has brought to my attention petitetoilonrouge's earlier appreciation based thread. SB doesn't seem to me exclusively a hotbed of snark, and it's great to find a consistent trail of evidence that many here would rather it never devolve into such a place! Thanks to all those that have stepped up to answer a question, pointed a finger towards an answer, and laid out a proper thanks when thanks was due.
Thanks are due to Master James, guiding light to TiredChildren everywhere, for his recent and consistent efforts towards goodwill. Thanks to everyone who put in a little extra effort to make this hobby that much better for others this year. Thanks Oli, for starting this neglected warehouse of thank yous in the first place!
Hey, no issue. My memory usually sucks, but I happen to often remember seeing a thread about the same topic somewhere... Especially when I started that thread.
This thread should be moved to the "whatever" section where it will get more traffic. Good stuff guys, SB can use all the love it can get.
Well, it is my last night here in Japan, and between all the hectic packing and arranging my exit, I have to reflect as well on the experience. A lot of that has been made the better by some truly great Skullbrainers, both in Japan and outside. A special thanks goes out to the local crew such as Andy, Don, and Aaron, who have been more than generous with FOBs like myself, providing info, tips, and general sofubi goodness - your kindness had not gone unnoticed. Also need to pass on thanks to folks who helped me out pre-trip, including Oli and Mark. And last, but not least, thanks to the rest of the gang who has been patient with stuff I have bought/traded with them, and considerate with my various mailing shenanigans. This community rules, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. I'll gladly offer any advice/info/life experience I have garnered over this time to anyone who is thinking about coming over themselves. I am by no means an expert, but you are welcome to pick my brain as you need.
thanks to the OG skullbrainers for holding it down over the years, trading fairly keeping it a community. LASK Crew as well
Sometimes, I have problems buying toys available in the US only. So thank you VERY much, Jesse, Gabe and Chris for trying to help me score a toy for my collection! You RULE!!! \m/( ^__^ )\m/ <3 <3 <3
Thanks to whoever sent me that YJA link years ago for my special event Marmit Matango with extra color sprays. I can't remember who you are (but should). If you hit me up I'll do my best to do you a favor.
Id like to Thank God, Sheila, my friends and family and the team of Cancer destroyers at UVA who've taken great care of me. Especially my PT Larry, who taught me 2 things.."Pain is weakness leaving the body" and "You have to take the poison (Radiation and Chemo) before you'll get better boy!" Special Thanks to Shawn, Miltron, Guf, Hellopike, Atease, Lurker, Scary Andy, Kirkland, Robert, Chris K, G_money, Rich, HeadlessKing, Bo, Wingnut, Vinyl Skin, living dead, Arin C, Henry, Brenda, Ana, Fabian, Winu, and the countless other members who I have become great friends with, on the forum and personally. I really hope I get to meet a lot of you guys and gals whom I haven't had the chance to, one day. Thanks to all of the Cancer survivors here that shared their stories with me and filled me with great hope and love. Thank you to Pushead for an awesome 2012 and for taking such amazing care of his fans. Thank you to Secret Base for the awesome toys and later for the emotional toll of placing an order and wondering if its SOLD OUT. Ahh, the thrill of the hunt!! Thank you to everyone who's helped me find and continues to help me find Cure toys for the wife and the Pushead items I've been fortunate to be offered. Thanks everyone and RESPECT! Tony
