I traded messages with Jim Crawford on LinkedIn last year. After closing up StrangeCo in 2010, he worked in consumer goods for a while, nowadays he is general manager of a law firm. He's doing well.
@Roger thanks for the update! Nice to hear that he's doing well, so happy for him. @Biff , I second that!
Was told to help revive this lovely board. Here are some shots of my Brown Dorbel(Hong Kong) version. I intend on collecting more Woodring this upcoming year so I will surely post more. HOPING to find a Mr. Bumper next.
The Dorbel is great. We had a couple at Lulubell for quite some time before they sold, and both were really cool to see every day on display! Personally, when it comes to Strange Co. I’m partial to the OG Daro by Jermain Rogers, Turtle Camper by Jeremy Fish and the Bob Dob Luey trio.
Sold all 4 of the Mr Bumpers maybe 18 months ago, the two rares sold pretty quick but the two regulars went for not much more than the cost to ship 'em overseas. I need to hunt the Dorbel set out of storage (but they definitely won't be hitting the BST).
