I was waiting for an Ultraseven figure from Bigonecraft that I bought through zenmarket.jp and didn't know why it was taking so long to arrive. I went to look at the purchase info and it says it arrived 2 weeks ago! I went back to look at the videos my doorbell camera took that day and I see some guy come up to my stoop, take the box, put it into a big bag and walk off! I am so pissed. It was so cool and sold out now and can't get it. If you happen to live in Queens NY and someone tries to sell you an Ultraseven Classic color figure lol it's mine. People suck a lot of the time. Luckily it wasn't a giant shipment from Japan, only the figure and 2 shirts. Sucks. Thanks for reading.
Lost mail deliveries are the worst; thefts even more so. Really sorry that this happened to you, Matt. Super shitty to experience this sort of thing, and made even more crappy by the likely outcome that toys like this are likely ditched anyways, once the thieves see what is inside of the box. I've even had this happen to me living on a pedestrian footpath (away from any road) in a tiny village in England; shitty opportunists are everywhere.
I feel your pain man. Not exactly 1:1, but I won a lotto in the summer of 2024, and it never arrived. The cart it was supposed to be on was scanned in my area, but the facility says they can't find my package at all. So either someone at the Jamaica facility stole it, or it clipped through the floor into the backrooms.
Zenmarket gave me a 10% refund and shipping which was decent of them since it was delivered successfully and they did their job. I’ve since installed an overhead camera looking at my doorstep so I can identify packages clearly. Next time, I’m going with DHL!
I’m really sorry to hear about your misfortune, that sucks. I’m trying to understand how going with DHL would fix this issue in the future, do you mind elaborating?
DHL requires a signature.. they're also very cautious about leaving anything without directly handing it off to me. i've had a bunch of DHL guys phone me and let me know where they are and when they'll arrive. They're more responsible about getting the package directly into my hands. And a hell of a lot faster delivery time wise, just a few days from Japan.
That’s pretty awesome that DHL calls you and let you know when they’re going to be there, I’ve literally never heard of that before. I hope everything goes smoothly from here on out!
I'm sorry this happened to you. Happened to me a long time ago, I have since told my local post office to never leave packages on my step if nobody is home and to only leave the orange slip and I'll come pick it up from the post office, have a sign that states the same taped to my door as well.
I'm bummed to hear your figure was stolen from the doorstep. This has been one of my ever-nagging fears for the 20+ years I have been collecting. I'm thankful it hasn't happened to me yet. However, I had a postal worker jam a package containing a 7" late cut vinyl into my 6" mailbox. That was basically postal robbery.
