I saw The Sword by total accident a few years ago here when they opened for Metallica, they were awesome. Added nerdness, some of the band showed up the next day at Super Festival with Kirk and were stoked on all the toy craziness. Pretty nice guys too.
I saw them back in October. Absolutely mind blowing.. I've been a fan for 20+ years and it was one of the best shows I have ever seen. I also scored a limited edition print from the show.. Signed and numbered, edition of 30..
I'm super excited for Mobb Deep in May! I've been a fan since the early 90s and have never seen them.. Also DJ Shadow and Bassnectar at Red Rocks in June! Possibly Sugir Ros in April but it's the same night as an unannounced line up for one of the biggest Dubstep promoters in the US. If any of you follow that scene, they brought almost the entire Deep Medi label over for a show last year..
Had to follow up on some the prevoius posts on Man or Astroman. They made it to Seattle (last show of their run) & it was friggin awesome. I have listened to them for some time now but never been to a show. So glad I went!
saw black moth super rainbow in st. louis last wednesday this was my 2nd time seeing them, they are great live!
I've got a ticket to see the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion in July here in Hamden CT. I haven't seen them since 1997 or so and the last album I bought was Acme in 1998. Really looking forward to catching up.
Nice! I stopped following them after Acme, but did see them on the Plastic Fang tour, which was the last time I saw them. I thought their albums got a bit boring at that point but still have tremendous love for everything up through Acme.
It should be a good music weekend here in Minneapolis... Friday night - Melvins record release Party with Honky and Hepa-Titus All day Saturday - Bash 13 with Die Kreuzen/The Melvins/Mudhoney/Negative Approach/Gay Witch Abortion/Hepa-Titus/Honky
^^ Did you hear them interviewed by Marc Maron recently? Its a good interview with plenty of laughs! http://www.wtfpod.com/podcast/episodes/ ... _and_chong
PDX Pop Now this weekend! A whole bunch of bands I've never heard, plus a few I have. Looking forward to Sons of Huns and Witch Mountain!
I'm so out of the loop with music anymore and Buffalo is so awful for getting quality bands to pass through that I did not know Spiritualized was playing here on July 14th. I was away in NJ anyhow, but apparently it was cancelled and has been rescheduled for Sept 14th here. When I was young and right when they formed I would catch every show I could. Now I haven't really been a fan of Spiritualized' music since about 1996 BUT they still do put on a really good show and always play some Spacemen 3 goodies..... Longwinded but excited
Negative Approach, right here in Akron, in a couple weeks. I never saw them back in the old days but LOVED their records. I may implode when I hear "Nothing" or "Tied Down"....
Oh shit! Give me details. When and where? Is it a tour or just the one show. "can't tell no one" is one of my favorite songs ever
