It's the beards and facial hair . . . confuses the heck outta me! Ding ding . . . that's where the NSFW posts fall down . . . when work is also your family home!
Yes it is! I'm glad COOP found us, I've really enjoyed the new found perspective I have with my toy's. Now I just have to find some hott chicks!
Coop since you have a ridiculously deep bench of Sofubi, if you have any more weird obscure info on the figures or whatever that would be great to hear.
This is a great idea. Being the perv that I am I certainly didn't intend my agreement with Sumatra's post to be taken as me saying "I wish COOP wouldn't post these photos". On the contrary! But as others have pointed out, there's womens on the boards who don't appreciate it. And COOP - so far I'd have to say your membership has been among the best for an established artist joining SB. It's quite easy to see that your interest is genuine and pre-dates most of our kaiju collecting habits - you're not just here to shill product. Looking forward to seeing more of your photos - with or without nekkid womens.
Although I am an edgeman, I am far from bearded or a pilgrim. Furthest away from being a saint. I think most will attest with my behavior at SDCC last year. I'd like to apologize right now ahead of time while I'm at it.
I would be happy to do that, except most of that hard-earned knowledge started falling out of my head in the last few years, due to advanced senility. Where am I again? Who are you?
Dang. All of a sudden I'm getting a flashback of when I picked up my sister from catholic school. I forgot I had a Heavy Metal magazine with a warrior babe with a barely there ansemble strapped to a sketch book I used to tote around. Mother Theresa almost had a coronary.
That sounds sensible. But, more importantly, I find the models get in the way of the toys. I don't like anything getting in the way of that sweet, sweet toy porn. I'm sure it's normal to feel that way. Right?
Thumbs up from me on this as a solution too. It surely can be tricky while scanning posts at work, but I've found the photos pretty interesting in the way the toys have been integrated. New found perspective and all, ya know.
No need to start a thread over here. My flickr page is in my sig file - you can see all the naked ladies you want over there.
Naked? jeez, I'm gone a few days getting new stock ready (including 20+ NEW M1 vinyl we've been waiting for the store) and this discussion goes all blue. Which is fine by me Anyway, one M1 grail I came across and passed due to said stock was an all glow giant M1 Garamon with the baby doll eyes. I have the metallic blue and having a set would've been nice. Anyone know how many different versions were produced?
I know there is a painted Blue, Green, Red w/balloon, and a Glow in the Dark. The Blue comes with a big Tokyo Tower, and the Green was a Medicom exclusive that comes with a painted big Tokyo Tower and a Semi-Ningen kubrick. There's also unpainted Flesh, Orange, Yellow, and Blue. I would like to find a painted blue one myself.
Do not forget about the green one with the tower, semi ningen, and christmas decorations. I can count atleast 12 version by normal release(sale, lottery prizes, etc). there was some deal for custom paints awhile ago. I have seen countless version of these pop up on yahoo.jp. I think the buyer could choose a paint job. Not sure what limitations or how the deal worked.
I think 13 different ones released so far including the lucky bag give aways and lottery, oh yeah, the one Mike just mentioned too, maybe 14? 1. Unpainted Cream White 2. Unpainted Flesh 3. Unpainted Red 4. Unpainted Yellow 5. Unpainted Blue 6. Unpainted Green 7. Green with Tower 8. Blue with Tower 9. Pigmon with Ballon 10. Clear Red 11. Unpainted Clear Red 12. Christmas Roppongi Version (this is the shit, comes with ornaments and mini semi-ningen) 13. Unpainted GID 14. Yuji special order custom paint GID Looks like 14 I remember. Coop mentions an orange? I hope not.
I thought you had an orange one, Dennis! Maybe it was the yellow, and it just looked darker in the other photo. Now I have to figure out how to get the rest of 'em!!
I wish it was orange, actually the yellow is the most killer. Its looks like butter, I want to spread it on a Monte Cristo and gorge myself.
Can you get a good Monte Cristo in Japan? The H.M.S. Bounty on Wilshire has a great one. I suspect if you could find one in Japan, it would be the best one you ever had.
Coop, I have never seen a Monte Cristo here, it seems too much for japanese people and it would probably be finger sized and $30. But if they did I think your right, it would be pretty damn tasty. Joe, this is exactly what I was thinking. I need to come back to SF soon, then you can see what a pig I am.
