September 20th...

I will be flying into your fare city on September 20th. I have to be at the Double Door @1572 Milwaukee probably sometime around 4 or 5 pm. I'm hoping to fly into the area sometime late morning... Is there enough stuff in this area to keep me busy for several hours? thanks

 

The double door is at the end of a hipsterful rainbow of shops.

i live in hollywood, close enough to silverlake and echo park where hipsters were invented. although maybe that was brooklyn

if you'd rather get away from all the hipsters, take the red line to chinatown. as a bonus, reggie's is nearby.

also not far from chinatown, up a little north, is greektown. there's a vegan joint there that my wife enjoys.

 

sweet.. record stores, bookstores & coffee is pretty much all i need

 

The double door is right next to myopic books. Be prepared though, that's all I'll say.
