    RSS email app?
One thing I've noticed since finally upgrading to OS X El Capitan is that I've lost the ability to get RSS site feeds emailed to me like I did in Snow Leopard. I use to have one for a Butanohana and a few record stores. This sucks. I could care less about RSS feeds while I'm on my computer but loved that I would get a timely email when something was made available from a site, especially on my phone when I was out and about. What is the point of taking that away Apple?

Does anyone know of a good app that is: A) free and B) won't email spam your account with tons of junk mail. Sounds like a tall order but I need updates on 2 sites that rarely update via email and I can't check 50 times a day because I'm not going to be on a computer 24-7.

    I use Blogtrottr

You can customize the email subject and add filters/rules that act as the trigger for the emails. This has definitely been my secret weapon on a few occasions

Thanks I was looking at blogtrottr but was concerned about tons of spam. Is there much?

I use https://ifttt.com/. It can also send you texts and do a bunch of other crap. I have a few etsy and bigcartel stores I monitor this way.

I haven't gotten any SPAM at all, but if you mean emails that aren't relevant then you can just use the filters/rules. For example, if I'm after only a certain figure/character, then I'll limit the notifications to only include new posts with that toy's name in the title or body of the posting.

Also, as Blake mentioned, IFTTT is a great tool as well. I use it for all sorts of things, check out the most popular recipes to see what it's all about.

I tried to use ifttt.com but when I went to link the website I wanted to receive email updates from it said it could not link to that site? It appears ifttt only lets you link to their list of 'popular' websites which is ridiculous. All I want to do is get instant email updates when a new post is put on this record label site:

    http://scientificwax.com

Reason being it's a small jungle label with limited pressings so they sell out instantly and I don't want to miss the next release which is sometime in the next two weeks.

If you are using the RSS to Email recipe then it should let you use any link BUT there has to be an RSS feed available to grab (same for Blogtrottr), so not all sites are a possibility to get reports for.

Specifically for the site that you just linked, it looks like the feed is "http://scientificwax.com/feed", maybe try that and see if it recognizes the feed?
