I'm sure that most of you heard by now that Dan, a.k.a. Task One passed away last week. Task was an amazing dude and an awesome toy maker. He went from writing graffiti on the east coast, to making toys, to working for prop departments on major motion pictures. His resin toys were as close to perfect as you can get and has worked with a ton of artists producing their work. There are so many resin toys out there that he's done that it's nearly impossible to list all the artists he's worked with, I met Task in Denver about 10 years back. We became good friends and took many trips to his studio/apartment to check out what he was working on. He'd always give me a little toy because he knew how much I appreciated them, and would love to see my eyes light up. It was always fun crossing paths with him at Designer Con once he moved out to California. You will be missed my friend. Task leaves behind a lovely wife and a little girl that's almost 5 years old.
