nice pics! My son and I collect die cast 1/64 scale cars as well. I’m really liking the art cars from hot wheels.

Agreed! Some of those are pretty brilliant. The mini I posted a couple of pages prior is one of my faves.

Really bringing some great toys to this thread, Rei. I particularly love that space cruiser - have never seen that one before. It's superb! Reminds me a bit of the snow trac vehichles we have in thie north, crossed with these glacier cruisers:

Ah thanks, Rei, not far off then. Lost in Space was one of those shows I might have seen a few times in reruns, but just never 'clicked' for me*. I think I was likely past the age where I found the dynamic really relatable or entertaining(e.g. b/w Mumy and Harris). And I could just never see Zorro settling down and having a family with his roguish lifestyle. ;)

    * and I know, soon as I right this, I can expect appropriate admonishment from some folks here (looking in your direction, D)

These should be hitting your local Walmarts real soon since the Street date was the 26th of April. Not sure how limited they are but it's two of each Ghost Buster per box while the Staypuff and Slimer come in a separate one. I wouldn't sleep on these if you really want one. I only bought one set for now. If by chance more come in at a steady pace I'll buy a set to open later on.

While I certainly appreciate, and have deep love for, the Real Ghostbusters line, I have to say again that this whole thing of making exact reproductions of these toys is something I just don't get. Bring something new or different. And especially for lines where 1) they are not exactly 'old' and 2) are easily available from the first run. I know there is a niche market Ghostbusters collectors, but playing this up - and let's be honest, this is purely for the nostalgia crowd, there is absolutely nothing in connection with modern kids for these "toys" - just equals a head scratcher. My humble opinion, and I know these will sell like hotcakes in spite of it all. Just everything about this smacks to me of cashing in on some toy fans and obsessive adult collectors. And none of this argument is even touching the whole exact repro of a collectible argument; that is one I will leave up for others to decide. :?

Toy drops from Wal-mart, at this time? I guess....

You do realize they have a line for younger kids popping up to right?

Yeah, I just meant there is little exposure in the way of the property to a generation - who is not grown up - who would ask for these toys. Look, it's great to have cool toys to offer to kids, but I think it is already a hard sell in 2020 to get children invested in such things. When it does happen, the likelihood of them moving towards a property they can recognise/consume/relate to is far greater.

Everyone* on this board is an adult buying toys, so this isn't about judgement at all; just the acknowledgement of who these are intended for. And I am not singling out Ghostbusters fans; MOTU is the same, and to even more extremes (c'mon, they are marketed as a mail-order service), though that fanbase is at least much wider.

    * as nearly as can be assessed at any rate

Well hopefully the movie that was Ghost Busters related that was supposed to pop up this year that got pushed back to 2021 gets kids interested again. Im surprised the Sonic movie was so unprepared with toys. Kids absolutely loved that movie.

Well there are next to no places here to buy toys anymore, but that does surprise me hearing it. But to be fair I think everyone was surprised by how well that movie did.

I wish Hasbro wouldn't make the cards look beat up and put a huge ass dumb sticker on the front but I guess they had to make the reproductions distinguishable somehow lol.

Nice! That is pretty rad, Rei. I mean, I am an old fuddy-duddy, because I would love this guy as a barely articulated 5.5 MOTU KO figure, but I get that this full action figure articulation is all the en vogue there is, and trends are certainly not going the opposite way. Seems like he could be quite a bit of fun.
