Is that top of the sword clear vinyl? Bizarre but cool idea.

    Release the kraken......

The sword is made of a translucent hard plastic, you can not see in the picture but in the handle has an engraved of a throwing star and the sheath of the sword is engraved with a dragon and the word Japan.
I'm seriously thinking in release it ...

Yeah it is a tough one. I don't really have the willpower I think, and I don't really have any display that would make use of packaged toys, but I can also see the other side of it, and fully appreciate that - so I tend to just avoid the temptation altogether and stick with the loose stuff. Which is hard too though, in its own way, because dammit are those headers and backing card fantastic. Just lovin' the artwork on this one. Now, I could be mistake, but seems like there is already a tear in the baggie up front? In which case - now I am not trying to convince you Roger, I swear - but you might just think it is almost as good to open it, because it is not going to be considered 'mint' by any hardcore collectors anyways. The figures I have opened have often been like this, where the bags were too withered or aged to matter, or where I thought the lack of air movement was having a detrimental effect on the toy. You can do it carefully with a sharp knife and pry open the staples gently. Done right, it will allow you to save the header, and even baggie if you want, and, if you so desire for some reason later one, you can re-close it. But to each their own. Either way, one lovely toy.

Thank you Rei for your nice comments :!:
Steve: in fact the bag has a pair of cuts, a small one that can be seen on the bottom next to the feet and one at the top next to the header card, that's the biggest but curiously is the least visible (because the cut is cleaner). I think for now I'll keep the bag closed and try to make a special place for Ninja figures.

Again thanks for all your comments :!: :)

I found this king size Majin Sai who was sold in the Mandarake Shibuya store, I think the more interesting it´s that came with the original header card that looks a little bit different from the standard size figures.

You are right looks in great shape, seems like it was made a few day ago.
It's great to see the original price on the card, compared to the selling price of this figure; It is like day and night.

Two Ninja Arashi Bootlegs versions; Perhaps it is too much of these figures, but personally I think they are one of the best figures that have been made, because they have a lot of details.
An apology by overload you with such bad photos.

So, doing some analysis, other than the clear differences in the gold versus yellow sprays used for the hands and feet, have you noticed any other major variations between the two? The swords look like they might be the same, and the face, while different, seems more usual toy-to-toy variation rather than say, a new face, but it could be the way I am looking at it. Just interesting to me to see two very close examples side by side, and in almost the exact same state too. Nice acquisitions, Roger.

In addition to what you mentioned, the one on the left have red hair in the helmet and the one in the right has orange hair, the vest on the one of the left It is a shiny red plastic with white interior, the one in the right It is a duller red; it is a different plastic (and shorter). The scarf on the left side it´s made of plastic and the one in right it´s made of fabric, the body of the one in the left it´s gray but the one in the right has a pearly color and finally the sheath of the sword on the one of the left is blue and the one in the right it´s light green.

See, now I am extra happy that I asked. Thanks, Roger! It is exactly these little details between variants that I like to note, and, even with such nice examples standing right next to each other, it is not always easy to tell just from the photo. I really appreciate learning about all these little changes. Good luck on the armybuiding!

Thanks to you for your comments!
What I really like to do is a set with all this versions or variants that were made of the Ninja Arashi. I wish I could catch other versions; There is a standard size version that has the belt very similar to licensed Bandai and the sheath of the sword with the sword are made of a clear red plastic, I think it would be the version that Lixx has.
Also I would miss the non-standard version with hair in the helmet (the vest have some differences as well), that Lixx also has one.

Yeah as I mentioned in the other thread, there are tons of Arashi variants. One of the interesting things, though, is 90-95% of the ones we see are loose, missing parts, or Frankensteined loose with parts from different versions. So that makes things a bit more tricky to sort out how many variants are out there.

The bag of the Ninja Arashi in left side has a small cut, so I could pull the sword to take a picture.

He is so lovely man, truly. And what a wonderful photo too, excellent job, Honestly, I wouldn't even fret about the hair, you can barely notice. (but, should it ever bother you so much you grab a replacement, I'll be happy to welcome the 'lopped' fella.) A fantastic toy, congrats again on snagging one.

I really appreciate your comments Steve.
You really do not appreciate all the details of these figures until you have them in your hands. I can not imagine what it would be like to have had one of these as a child, I would have gone crazy.
If I find a replacement or for some reason I had to find it a good home, you will be the first option.:D
    Again thank you!

A very nice toy! Looks very prim and proper in your school photo. He looks to be in great condition too! I noticed that the figure you posted from an mib auction at the top of the page, shows a sandy blond vs. your brunette. Just curious, on the difference, do you happen to know about the hair variation? Congrats on a great villain. Although he's too scary for my shelf, he's an admirable adoption.
