Antichrist was both beautiful and horrible to look at. Some parts did make me wince. Right now Nate's catching up on Parks and Recreation and I am watching random anime series. Mushi-Shi I have seen the fansub but it's nice to see it in HD.
The only thing that is a little annoying about instant watch is at certain times if I have a slow connection the poor picture quality really annoys me. But, that's what i get for being cheap on internet service... Oh well.
I'm enjoying Dexter SO much. In the second season. It's so addictive that I have to watch at least 3 episodes at a time. Also The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo and The Girl Who played with Fire -now waiting to see what the 3rd one will be. Kind of hate to admit it but I really enjoyed Irreversible but I wouldn't recommend it for the faint of heart. Really good was the Swedish; Let the Right One In. Saw a great film with Anthony Hopkins befriending a fatherless boy and his mum, very good, can't remember the title just now...
Let the right one is, is pretty good. Another good Vampire movie is Thirst by Chan Wook Park. Actually liked Thirst better than Let the Right One In. The Anthony Hopkins movie is Hearts in Atlantis.
I've re-watched Dexter over and over and it's so frustrating not to see Season 3 and onward. UGH! Also the Tudors. I wish Netflix would add more Showtime seasons of these two series. =(
Horrible movie. watched it today after reading this. should have been called "Misguided Lieutenant." Watch the original...now that's a bad dude.
anytime anyone says harvey keitel, the first thing i think about is winston wolf (pulp fiction), but following closely in second is the scene in bad lieutenant where he pulls over the car with the two girls... creeps mcgee.
seriously.. keitel plays badass everywhere he goes but i was not prepared for that. interested in the (new) one because it doesn't seem to take itself as seriously, and that's generally the best place to watch nic cage.
The thing about the new Bad Lieutenant is not how bad ass Nic Cages character is, it's about the comedy and how much you can laugh at Nic Cage. This is probably the most I have ever laughed at Nic Cage. If you watch this movie expecting something serious, you are in for total disappointment.
this happens once in awhile, but keep an eye on your email, netflix usually sends customers a link that's good for 2% off the next billing cycle.
Dexter is awesome, I basically like anything Cinemax puts out right now, loved Weeds and Californication as well. The wife liked United States of Tara, but I don't get it?
Nope, haven't seen it. I've read the comics though. I heard Nic Cage was a good laugh in that one though. I'll watch it once it gets onto Netflix.
just watched "The Great Happiness Space," a documentary on guys who work at japanese host clubs..very interesting
He was good in Kick Ass only because it was an over the top roll that required his crappy skills to pull off. I'm with Mike on Cage, awesome cause he sucks.
i don't know... keanu can fcuk up a movie with the best of them. anyone see "day the earth stood stupid, er... still"?
Hmm that is a close call, but I think I find myself laughing more at Cage. Keanu is also good for laughs, but I find myself "face palming" more to Keanu.
Yeah, plus I think he's actually good in Bill & Ted, but it was kind of written for him to not have to act. My #1 bad actor of all time is Seagal though, but honestly it's not the same as Cage since he doesn't really try too hard.
