These are all great. I love the little tanks the most. Unfortunately the hype machine is already in motion. Can it dethrone the 90 page nagx3 thread, time will tell.
Feeling like it, Though, I don't predict a Nag-pendemic, I think a safe bet is an equivalent of prime ExoHead days, The Gorilla and Kaizo are great, and maybe I'm just a grump because I missed the gorillas, but I don't see any appeal in the owls. In my mind Toy Tokyo has done tons of owl minis that are probably better sculpts. I don't think these little owls bring anything new or interesting to the table.
agreed. the owls are okay...kaizo are cool, but the gorillas takes the cake! With the tanks and the packaging, it's a no brainer! Now it's just a matter of trying to get your hands on them.
Apples and oranges. These guys just came out at a show, no secret or mystery, and are selling out because people like the toys. Go back to the Nag thread and tell me how many pages it took before anyone could say who made the toy, what the toy was called, or where to get one. I don't like monkeys, but I do like the overall design of these guys. They're a little too 'rough' for me, but I could see picking up the right hero dude. Anything with clear and guts is fine by me.
So terrible! I missed it too To the people who scored, if any of you change your mind... hit me up!!!
ahh missed the gorilla too ! but im not too upset, the price was a bit too high for me, and $75 was already pushing it. im sure we'll get another chance down the road though
I think GT's order is tie in with available or in-transit stocks. So if you paypal you should immediately get an order confirmation via email.
Hi, I try to keep my business off this board. I'll make an exception on this though. What I was able to have listed is being produced now. I had an amount reserved, and rather than dip into the supply for the event he is producing those extras now. This way I was able to offer them for the pre-sale (before folks shelled out on YJA etc.) without dipping into his supply for the actual event. I think this is a good way for him to have done it, and I think is actually common practice for some of the larger companies. Marmit etc. So, confirmed, we wait a bit, worth it I think.
Thanks for putting in the extra effort to get these for us Chris. Hopefully this means you could be carrying some of his future releases.
i think the facebook post said 5 available, so probably not the whole card. there were 4 when i looked at the site, then i grabbed 1.
Very very nice debut. I'm absolutely in love with the Gorilla packaging. Definitely one to keep enshrined in a box forever. The mini tanks remind me of firecracker tanks I had as a kid (the ones that sparkle, roll, then blow up). Didn't score anything but iluilu is on my radar.
I don't really buy gorilla toys so I didn't get one of these, but the packaging is really impressive. It helps his cause that he does that for work, I still can't figure out how he produced, painted, and packaged them for the equivalent of $75 (and can still make something from it) but more power to him for making cool toys like this.
