Thanks for the link, Brian. It's amazing how these guys are able to come out with something so creative. My first take was where the hell did Rich dig out this mib vintage toy? But the colors and especially the "Neo Gorilla sticker" gave it away as new. I see reference from Dr. Gori, Zollmen and Gorilla-jyu. The box is very Takara Micromen. HOT!
Yeah, I'm bummed about the gorilla too but am really happy that I was able to score one of the hero's for a reasonable price. Hopefully some more colorways of the gorilla are on the way.
Hmmm, they're smaller than I thought they'd be...still really want them, but not sure if I want them at that price.
the right kind of exohead stuff (all I have right now is a yellow grodnoid I got in a trade a while back) would be easier for me to drop that kind of money on, but that's just me
It's really quality that I justify the price on. Yes these seem expensive and I hope to see future stuff cheaper but.... The quality paint app, the super amazing boxing and intricate extras ( mini tanks and inserts which are ALSO packed well) justify the price in the end. I also assume there where paint masks for the gorilla. And there seems to be glued in gems as buttons on the heros chest. These would also add to the cost. I think the attention to detail is well worth the price. To just compare these price wise to a bagged and headered toy isn't fair. The box alone for the gorilla had to be expensive.
I agree. if we think the prices of some toys ( b---n n-------g) that seem to be made in the cellar ... (that make me crazy to have them)...I can spend for gorilla
