aww shucks, just one of the medicom/buta gojis; now I have the 2 I really like, I believe that there are 4 of that sculpt if I'm reading the db right. And thank you Grace, but I am sure that Deevis is so far out in front that it would not occur to him to look back. His collection is pretty primo, like fedhai's. I'm pretty sure that 4 or 5 others of you have a big treasure cave of buta pretties, too. Any chance for some more collection shots?
Have finally started working on shelf rearrangement, everything should be unbagged pretty soon. I have a bulging cheap plywood ikea drawer full o' tags 'n' bags as it is.

 

At the rate you've been rebuilding your collection, you're eventually going to give Deevis a good run for piggie noses! My friend finally spar varnished, cut redwood risers for each shelf, and hung all of the cases up! I have 3 long vertical Nornas cases in the living room, and one fat Nornas case, in the upstairs hallway. Just need time to unpack and start stuffing the shelves!

I ran a Nornas search on the Ikea website. Looks like they might be discontinued! A shame, since they look nice and you can secure them to the wall (so they don't take up floor space), but as Chris pointed out, they only have a max load of 4 lbs per shelf for the tall vertical ones. You have the secure the glass doors carefully (one popped out, when swung open, and it's a good thing my friend is big and burly, and caught it with no breakage!

Here was the complete Nornas line (the glass doors and shelves are clear glass, but the photo from Ikea was tilted at an angle to minimize light glare)



I found another case on the Ikea website, the Fabrikor. Looks nice too! If I have to buy another case, this would be it. I think it would be perfect to display vintage vinyl -- it reminds me of a mini version of Super 7's wonderful and very special metal vintage cases, back in the old Japantown store location.

p.s. The Fabrikor is perfect for mischievous cats! This door looks really secure, and lockable too! Perfect for cats with prying dexterous paws! I had to have the Nornas cases hung much higher than usual, because H&E use their paws to open doors.

 

I remember that old cabinet! Bought a couple of vintage out of it and lusted after a two tone GID goji that I couldn't quite stretch for at the time. But the Nornas look very intriguing and very good for kaiju as well and would work very well with the Fabrikor I would think. I'm lucky on the cat side; so far, Maxx and McGuire show no interest in nomming on the little bits of old plastic. Apple cords, yes.

 

@poysntixels - Ah, I thought the only Medicom reissue was the one painted like the giant Bullmark goji. Either way, they still seem to be very rare and go for $$$.

Stevie, I think your goji is the much coveted dark blue/gold first version (a real tribute to the Bullmark style)! Yours has the gold sprays. Congrats!

 

Ah, I stand infected, I mean corrected. Thanks all! I have the one on the left and the one on the right and I love them both! Really did not realize that I got a more desired one just by bidding on one that I liked... mirabile dictu!

Cleaning up my work area, and trying to find all of the toys I stored here, to take home. All the cases are up, just need to round up the toys first! a teaser....
