...or "Monmoth"...whatever... What's up, y'all? Sanjeev here...finally! Some of you might recognize my user name from TBDX. For everyone else, what's shakin'!? I'ma try posting here more often...or...at all! I'm a pretty hardcore glow nut, so without further ado, let's get it poppin'... Enjoy!
Welcome! After seeing all of your glowie photos on TBDX, I was wondering when you would arrive... Great GID photo of the flower. Super-crisp!
Good to see you here, Sanjeev! Is that all the same toy? Do the leaves really turn around? I think I need a vinyl that says 'Ultra Q' right on it...
That thing is beautiful, and one of the things I wasn't able to find last week in Tokyo. (I was also looking for a pink Hedorah.)
Thanks for the words of welcome and compliments on the pics, guys! Baikin, you have 5!? I think this thing's pretty rad...I was on the fence about it until Roger buzzed me with a good offer on one. So, yup, once again, I have Rog to thank for a bitchin' toy! Hypermook, yes, the petals rotate 180 degrees, simulating a flower blooming! Also, there's another slightly angled cut joint on the stem that you can rotate to give the impression that the flower is tilting to the side. Add to that the two extra leaves on the corner of the building being able to rotate, that makes this one of the most articulated vinyls I have!
Yeah, glad to see you here too Sanjeev!! And that is a super cool toy - I was not aware it was so well detailed and articulated, thx for the info!
Hehe...glad my pics have actually inspired folks to buy something! Yep, as Jonee said, "cross pollination": Ultra Q and Godzillaverse (did I just make that term up!?). I haven't seen a single episode of Ultra Q, but based on some of the nutty kaiju that came out of it, I'm definitely gonna check this show out. Anyway, just to let y'all know, that Mothra is the Sunguts "Spirit" GMK Mothra filled with glow gravel (those familiar with TBDX probably're already aware of my Frankensteinian experiments on hapless translucent vinyls!). Here's a better shot: Yes, it's THAT bright! No photoshopping here!
Thanks for the link to that Glo site - unbelievable; nothing but GID products. Good thing my wife doesn't mind my glow obsession, 'cause I'm going to have containers filled with that gravel all over the house.
Haha...imagine if that gag found its way here! Anyway, thanks again for the compliments on the photography, guys. The one thing I forgot to mention is that the glow gravel is so damn bright that I actually did have to photoshop the last of the first set of pics (the one actually with Mothra on the Flower) to make it dimmer! KJB, you need to try their stuff out if you haven't! Insane!
