Well after finding her -on- the dining room table a few times, we've decided it might be safer to put the chairs down... See the bare shelves in the corner? She still pushes the chairs aside, climbs on them and reaches for the toys on the windowsill...
discerning taste we are learning to place things higher. some shelves aren't high enough. This actually made me very proud
I don't have kids so, I have to ask. Do you guys let your kids play with all your toys? Or you have some that are untouchable? Or only a small group that can be played with?
If they ask, they can hold just about anything while I supervise. I give them a few blanks that I am not very concerned about and if something doesn't sell it usually ends up in their collection. When it's time for actual play we either use their sofubi or something I was sold that came beat up. In my pics above she is playing with a PK custom, something I don't normally let her do. She was very sweet and gentle though, so I snapped a few shots. She treats my toys with the compassion she shows her baby dolls.
I have bought a few toys specifically for my 3 year old daughter. She plays with those all the time and they get tossed around with the rest of her stuff. The toys in my cases she only gets to touch when she is "helping" me rearrange them. Haha. Daimyo, that pic of your daughter with the Daigomi in the stroller is great. I'll have to get a pic of my kiddo having one of her Deathra and Zag tea parties.
Yes! I am just about to start teaching my son Ti Kung Fu and will probably buy him his first Yi Xing some time this summer. This toy does not get enough love around here. While it isn't the most impressive looking toy in pics, in hand it blew me away. The variety of junk represented in the sculpt is great and the details are enough to make you look closer but not overly detailed. Maybe I am biased because of what a great job PK did on this one but I love mine. It's hard as hell to photograph Paul's work on this one though. It is a stunning piece in person. The little girl isn't too bad either.
I let my kid play with everything, she's very gentle with her toys. I had a bad spell where my dog kept finding those little mini-bullmarks and chewing them up. It made for some fun mash-ups from the leftover pieces though.
They're his eventually anyway so he pretty much has Supervised free range. He hates my Hitogomiras which kind of bums me out, maybe its the "people vomit" that turns him off. Seeing his taste in toys develop has been quite a trip.
How old is he? It's interesting to see all you guys and your kids. I don't know If I would be able to do it... Let them play with my toys... But I admire you guys doing it.
The poor little kiddo's nose has been running like a faucet for a few days now, hence the chapped upper lip. The crouchers are hers, and the Hedo she just got to hold for a little bit. *PICS REMOVED*
