Kaws Wooden Companion

was so hoping for "wooden companion" to be painted plastic looking like wood grain only.
would have been adorable kitch with a nice touch of self mockery.

wood be@rbrick dropped in 2005. 40.000 Yen.
been meaning to recall its been a lottery sale by medicom announced in hyper hobby.
went to local middleman asking him whether he could participate
on my behalf. luckiest day in my life when he got back to me saying
"we" won i could have it. around 350 $ back then.

not sure, but would be guessing 1000 % be@rbrick tour was later...

 

I was stating what I knew as fact as a question.

The wood be@rbrick sale on kawsone was actually slowly dispersed throughout the day which was nice. A couple would go out, sell out, then more would show up.

 

The KAWS 400% wooden Bearbrick came out after the 1000% World Tour.
And I agree - the wood Bearbrick is one of my favorite "toys". But I "don't get" the wooden Companion - which is a good thing, because I'd hate to want it and not be able to get/afford it.

 

I think it looks nice, but it definitely doesn't work as well as the be@rbrick.
