Gives me an excuse to go to Lionis for good. I gotta see if I’m working but I might swing through to check it out.
It was a pretty small event, it seemed like half of the dealers were selling original art and only a couple of tables had vintage and/or current sofubi. I don't think we spent more than a half an hour looking around and then we were on to the other stores in the buildings (like Book-Off). Ideally, this ends up being the start of something bigger, but I felt like the $20 ticket price could have been $10 or so. I fished three loose figures from that NECA Pacific Rim prop replica set out of a bin for $5 each.
I definitely concur with this. Also only spent 20-30 mins before I headed out. Happy to support something new for $20 in the hopes it returns next year, but definitely felt value wise it was a bit steep. $10-$15 would probably have been slightly more reasonable for the quantity and lack of variety, which is totally understandable for the first time.
Looks like they'll be announcing the dates of KB2 on Friday. Don't get why they need to announce when they'll announce. It's like the teaser trailer to the trailer.
