I will be taking some good photos and uploading them soon first 2 will be 2019 Dcon 1/1 kaihammer and thunder since I know a few ppl wanted to see them
Ok guys here's my 2019 dcon blobpus kai hammer kai thunder oneoffs and the chibi kaithunder he was selling aswell http://imgur.com/gallery/XGUA6xM
I’ve never seen that little fish omake before! Cute little fella. That Kaihammer is WILD. Love the pink octo-tail.
The omake remora fish belongs to the Kai Hammer. The remora fish can be attached to some of the barnacles on the head like this.
^Nice! I don't think I had seen the omake before, either. I love Kai Hammer, but have never picked one up. I wish they would do a chibi version like the did w/ Thunder.
I wasn't sold on the first few sculpts, but Jetturre seems to be hitting their stride over the past couple of years. Kai Hammer is great for all of the sea creature elements that it incorporates, while keeping the form and textures from Thunder. I just wish they would stop with the complex, muddy paint schemes. The sculpts are so detailed that I think they could make it work with simpler spray patterns, even keeping the darker colors. Right now, they just end up looking busy and it distracts from the sculpted details.
Hey guys! I know its been a bit but i wanted to update you guys on my Jetturre collection so far! https://imgur.com/a/DjkxVRF inbetween the gigametrons are some devil man jinman toys just to fill the gaps but everything else is alll jetturre
Sorry for the late reply and no I'm sure a few of the general release ones are out there but atm I've shifted my focus to getting more one offs because my shelf space is getting really limited as u can see lol
HEIGHT CHECK IN AISLE JETTURRE!! Hi buddies. I need help from someone who owns a Jetturre Guybot.... curious about his dimensions: height from feet up to his neck joint, as well as the circumference of his neck joint. (Latter could be obtained by taking a string, wrapping it around the joint, marking where it meets itself, then straightening it and measuring that length.) Please let me know if you can help- reply here or DM me. Thanks in advance!!
Nbd just Jetturre/HT-M popping up outta nowhere to blow your mind straight out yer ass: Fucking (and I say this as someone w/ no great love of mecha/robo stuff in gen’l) PHENOMENAL.
Yes, I agree! Between this, dreamrocket’s kaiju robot, and the mecha Rangeas, mech sculpts are coming back in a big way!
This new mech sculpt is just so well thought out. A lot of mechs just make general metal/robot parts, or copy another mech...this guy has all these intricate shapes and pieces that make it so much more interesting than most mechs.
It's a really clean sculpt and well done. I do agree that this feels like a continuation of the make-it-mecha trend that has been rolling along for the past 5 years or so. Someone should make organic versions of the famous mecha kaiju, as a change-up.
I'm not really aware of whatever currents/trends have been happening in the world of mecha sculpts (beyond whatever extent it's always been a thread of the hobby), but I am well familiar with Jetturre's output, and this seems right in line with/builds upon things they have done in the past. What really grabs me about this one is how it maximizes what you can do in the medium. Those arms and the torso- shit, every discernible part, really- push right up to the edge of what you can accomplish in hand-pulled sofvi, detail-wise, shape-wise, undercut-wise. HT-M/Jetturre is kinda always doing that, whether in a low-key way (Hormorah's crazy lower body) or totally boldly, like this. Absolutely love the paper-shredder-gears hands and feet, and it seems there's wrist articulation- that's going to make for some very cool posing with this toy. And yeah, the embedded anchor from the original toy's head being transmuted here into a tiny ship is so funny, smart and artful. This sculpt is so clean, precise and symmetrical that I almost wonder if it was digitally rendered and then printed parts were used to cast the wax. I believe I'm seeing 11 parts, counting the lil' ship... is that what others are thinking?
