I’m pretty sure that is in fact a petrified drumstick very cool toy, somehow balances a large amount of detail well unlike most newer toys nowadays
That's the SF exclusive one from the group shot Anthony posted on the previous page, where they're all standing in the cardboard box.
Fariycookies exclusive for DCON held November 16-18, 2018. Then some of the leftovers were made for sale through Fairycookies Taiwan for the price of 5000 TWD on November 22, 2018. There is a second color on GID that was also offered at DCON show below. Photos from Fairycookies. If I remember correctly they had 2 left with the yellow paint and only 1 of the blue spray which I bought.
There were some Blobpus colorways that were up for grabs in DCON including the Bem Mud Phantom and a chibi set all painted by Blobpus. I was wondering if anyone picked anything up? I got the news late and only got my mule to pick up the chibi set and a Good Robo. Bummed I missed the Bem Mud Phantom! Definitely one of my favorite sculpts of all time! If someone can share pics of the glorious piece, please do!
Love it- very fun. Looking forward to seeing it on green or blue base vinyl. Looks like six points of articulation? I like where they put the neck joint. Want a better look at that tail!
Nice- thanks, Anthony! Love the toy, but boy do I dislike this paint app. Ah well... they'll bring some great ones out, I'm sure...
Mantle Kong is great, and the omake Jungle Kong is even better. But it is a shelf space guzzler given its huge size. Hope to score a black version down the road.
Jetturre has some of the worst paint I've seen. Their toys are amazing, but I wait for a Blobpus painted version because it's always 10x better.
Wow... we have vastly different takes on this one, David! I die inside a little bit, every time I see a Blobpus-painted Jetturre toy. That's being unkind, but really, just... not for me. (EDIT: Actually, I recall being really excited at the first preview images of the Hormorah run he did for them several years back; then the full reveal came, aaaand... jorts. Thing was wearin' jorts.) I think Jetturre regularly does some of the simplest paint schemes out there, but I like a lot of what they do, especially on Hormorahs. (Most of the one-off and limited Hormys they've put out at SuFes over the years are fantastic.) I'd say a solid 70% of what they do overall I like, even when it's not a color scheme or sculpt I would pursue. It would be cool to see them collaborate with some other painters for runs, but that seems to not be something they are interested in. (This seems like a good place to say that I do still petition Luke about once a year to bug the Jetturre fellows about doing a run of Hormorahs in a marbled pour...)
