I know its not a toy but if it wasn't for whats pictured in this book you probably wouldn't be holding those little vinyl monsters in your hands right now.

I got this while in line for Haruo Nakajima's signing session at the M1GO booth yesterday. My mastery of kanji is minimal at best so I thought I would pass on it but with the combined effect of him being 2 feet from me and about to sign some other things I had and looking at the pictures in the book I bought it. Even if you cant read it its well worth having, there are so many pictures of behind the scenes at Toho and Tsuburaya in the glory days its well worth the $40. You'll be surprised also at how many of your favorite monsters Mr. Nakajima actually wore the suits for and gave his personality. I'd post more pictures but you should pick it up and see for yourselves and maybe the 2 shots here are not enough for the book people to be pissed as I would love to see more people know about the history of the movies and TV shows behind these toys and where they really came from.

I think you can search the kanji on Amazon and find it.

Awesome. Thanks for posting this, Dennis.

I'll bet this book will go great with August's book on Eiji.

Nice post Dennis. I was wondering what "book" was connected to M1go at Wonderfest over the weekend. I knew it was the guy who wore the suits but was a little confused about those extra heads that came with the Gargantuas. This fills in all the blanks, I'll have to look for it.
