Last year for lucky bags, unfortunately

 

Incredibly sad, but I also understand. The energy to do something every year let alone attempt to one up your creative limit year after year must be draining.

 

Wow. What a bummer, and, i completely understand. factory delays plus the amount of work.
On the bright side... we have so many beautiful toys from these. You could build an entire collection on just Gargamel Lucky Bags. This year's painting being more elaborate is making me horny too.

 

Yeah, I think the LBs were one of the last traditions remaining from the olden days. Sad to see them go, but it's incredible that they kept it going for over 20 years (I feel so old!). Hopefully we still see some non-one-offs from Gargamel once in a while.

 

On the upside, I imagine the bags containing a wider than normal array of characters…

You can’t blame Kiyoka for needing a break. Hopefully after some time off, he comes back refreshed and renewed. It’s sad to know this is the last of the lucky bags, but we have to be grateful for the years of prior LB goodness. Looking forward to seeing the grand finale’.

 

Someone refresh my memory:
2005 Gargamel lucky bags had the painted and unpainted bright "neon" figures among others?
Also had the painted and unpainted green Bako with GID guts, same with a Zag or two?

If this is right, then does anyone have a photo or description of the 2004 bag?

 

Sad that these Lucky Bags are coming to an end. You guys should make a database if at all possible?

 

That was 2007. There were no LBs as far as I know in 2004 and 2005. The first one was in 2006.

 

Sad indeed. Looking forward to the new paints. Hoping for some exciting sculpts and going out with a bang. Our bags should arrive soon(ish) too. Thanks Bwana!

Just preordered mine! Such a shame this is the last year of Lucky Bags. They’ve been an amazing option to get affordable Gargamel toys. Going to miss them a lot.

Got my preorder from ddr as always! Sad this is going to be the last time

 

thank goodness DDR still had some. I have been skipping bags most years and prefer buying individual pieces, but this is the year to jump, I think.

Doubly sad because the advent of bags usually meant higher activity on Skullbrain for a few weeks as we all compared scores and traded around. Here's to the last time. I hope we have other fun events to rally around in the future.

 

Oh no....I missed out on the DDR allotment as it sold out. I'll have to check other vendors.
