I missed these earlier. Damn, what a great pair. Ovion was a staple toy of my childhood. Never had the net though sadly. Original BSG FTW.
Yeah, that flimsy net is a perfect example of things you never find with a vintage toy. Just like weapons. For example . . . if i found a TMNT toy with a weapon in the wild i wouldn't believe my eyes!
A bit of a mixture this weekend. The fake legos were from a garage sale for $1 and the pieces were unopened so that was fun - plus the woman threw in captain america and wolverine figures for my son for free! Those are the best sales where people aren't really looking for $$ they just want their stuff gone! The vintage football dice game was from a peddler's mall. The glow scooby doo figures were from ebay but I had to throw them in there cause they kick ass! Good weekend haul overall.
...was so glad when i saw the Shin-Chan coin-bank again as Ana wanted it. So that's another successful toy adoption, and the first via SB. The Joe90 book was $5 and i had to buy it being a lover of all things Gerry Anderson. AND the toys are memories of childhood. The Transformers shell when i was 3 ($1) and the Small Soldiers guy from when i was 13 ($3).

Thank you VERY much for your help, Josh! I love Shin-chan and I am happy with this rad bank!!! \ / And Joe, your Dennis the Menace figure is awesome!!! Is it a bubble bath container?
Yes, it is indeed . . . i'd never seen one before . . . he's quite large too. Here's some more late in the year boot-sale toy goodness . . . . ^ Your findings are great, Joe! Thanks for sharing with us. That Margaret Thatcher figure is so funny! She looks like one of those Spitting Image characters... Is the figure made of PVC or it's more like a squeeze toy?
^^ Yeah, she is made from some type of fairly hard PVC . . . she has 'Spitting Image 1987 - Comics Spain' stamped on her back. I've seen plenty of the larger Spitting Image 'busts' over the years but i've never seen this type of figure before . . . .
^ Oh, man... That Margaret Thatcher is so cool! I've never seen her figure before, too. I got Spitting Image Thatcher, Reagan and Gorbachev squeaky busts years and years ago, and I love them!!!
...so i keep on hitting up Rozelle Markets in Convict Town. Maker = Mattell Name = Show Offs Year = 1973 Made = Hong Kong ...missing it's box and stand, BUT the guy still flips n moves. I paid AU$ 15- See it in action (not my video): http://youtu.be/rHmYCpsKDlM A damn damn fun piece.
