I was looking around today at all the shelves and all the figures and it got me thinking. All the money spent; those days where you skipped a meal to save some scratch for a figure, or pawned off some old records in order to get a new release. All the time spent waiting in line in front of toy shops or before toy shows started up. All the late nights spent poring over SB or the old stuff on KT trying to figure out just what you needed to get "complete". Late nights spent in front of YJA in a bidding war with some jerk who just won't let you get the figure you need to fill that hole in your collection. The ensuing dread that comes knowing about a particularly horrific credit card bill on its way after you win that bidding war. And you know what I realized? It was all worth it. These figures SLAY.
so true, and I must add I've gotten so many great deals from other Skullbrain members...my toy collection has exploded since I joined this site...thanks!
being in high school, most of my lunch money goes to toys. my hunger can be fufilled at home. it's all worth it in the end.
Ha, when I was in high school all my lunch money went to Star Wars toys, I just mooched on other peoples chips and snack items. I still managed to be 300 lbs at the time so I guess I wasn't really starving.
i couldnt even imgaine collecting this stuff in HS shcool lunches must have goten expensive as it would take me a year of lunch money to be able to buy a RxH mini
Me either! If I remember right, I got a buck fifty per day for lunch. Much as I like my skullbrains, I can't imagine skipping lunch for a year to own *one* of them..
yeah, lunch is pricey nowadays. a drink will run you 1.25 at my school and food around 2+ bucks. i get 3 bucks a day, so in 4 school weeks i could save 60 bucks.
