Ebay help

    So I sold something on ebay today, it ended high, and of course the person who bid on it has zero feedback. I sent an invoice, and they bid towards the end of the auction, nothing back yet.

    So I'm paranoid for two reasons:

    one, zero feedback

    two, the "name" of the person (after a google search), it turns out is a character from kinnikuman.

    So my question is, can I just bypass them and offer it to the next person in line without waiting 7 days? I'd like to just move it along and get the show on the road so to speak.

    I am really growing to despise ebay, any help would be appreciated!

    To cancel a transaction, both you and the buyer need to agree on the cancellation or you won't receive a final value fee credit.

    To cancel a transaction, open a case in the Resolution Center.

    A few important notes:

    * The buyer has up to 7 days to respond to your case. To receive a final value fee credit, the buyer must agree to cancel the transaction. If you haven't received a response after 7 days, close the case and you'll receive a final value fee credit.
    * You need to close your case within 60 days after the sale. After 60 days, if you haven't closed your case, eBay automatically closes it and you won't receive a final value fee credit.
    * After you've closed your case you'll receive a final value fee credit within 7 to 10 business days.


    in other words.. you're going to have to wait 7 days for a response (well.. for one, you won't get your money back from the final value fee that ebay collects). you can't really expect everyone to pay promptly.. from past experience, people usually pay in 3 days or so. if you want to get your money really quick, i'd suggest not ebay next time

    yea. it is always a bummer after your auction ends... and then you see how much you really get.

    As long as you stay on top of your case and close it in the required time frame, they'll credit you. But honestly, most eBay buyers (esp those with a little to no feedback) seem to take a few days to make their payment in my experience. If you're concerned, shoot em a message and see if they'll at least respond.

    Ed that sucks. I was going to suggest next time you sell maybe try and set rules in your listing that would ban 0 feedback buyers, but I think evilbay took away that feature. You can set rules for people with negative feedback but no 0 feedback. Sigh....

    I agree but then people can never get there feedback past 0. I know not everyone would use that feature.

    Contact the buyer first by sending a payment reminder. Did you set the terms on how long you give the buyer time to pay? Giving them a time limit usually speeds the process along. They could also be still setting up their paypal and that might add to the delay. You can set your auction to accept paypal payments only too.

    I have a three day payment due clearly listed on my auctions. I send reminders every three days. On the third reminder I send and there's no response after three days from that I start an unpaid item strike. The buyer has four days to respond. If you get no response you get credit back and you can relist. I usually ban the person too.

    Setting specific time and payment options helps me weed through junk buyers. Hope things work out for you!

    it's a junk buyer because the address is bunk too.
    a japan address with a street listed like "Main Street" is bogus, we all know that from our business dealings.

    i'm annoyed. i may just offer it to the next person today. I'm not in the mood to deal with this stuff this week.

    people flaking here on the board is one thing, it bugs me but i can get past it. people on ebay just doing things to grief me, annoying. not forgiveable.

    i don't care about the credit for the fee, big deal. 7 days is an annoyance that i have no patience for.

    I would offer it as a Second Chance Offer to the next person if I were you. I had to deal with an ass a couple of months ago and ebay would not make that person stick with the purchase agreement.

    I just opened a case against the person.

    I doubt they'll respond, it sucks I need to wait 7 days still but at least I know I don't have to deal with this pseudo buyer.

    I thought you could offer a second chance right away? they give you the option after you send an invoice, you shouldn't have to wait or even file a complaint for second chance.

    You can, but technically the pseudo buyer can decline the conflict and still pay. I might just send it anyway and see what happens.

    also, I'll get double charged on final value fees as well. One from the original sale, one from the second buyer. Eventually I might get refunded, but still...the fees are high and this ended high :/
