i cant ever imagine how scary that was. glad you're ok Mark. hope the toys didnt take too much of a beating.
Shit! 2011 is crazy. Australia started the year with bushfires, gigantic floods and then a cyclone. New Zealand just had it's terrible earthquake and and now Japan. The Tsunami footage is like nothing we've ever seen. It's so upsetting to watch. Our thoughts are with all of you guys in Japan. Please keep the updates coming in guys.
Yeah, Datadub has been quite actively tweeting, so he's ok. Alice keeps getting kicked off of FB, so? Secret Base are ok.
Message from Nari; "Tokyo is safe. Of course, I was also safe. Please you must be relieved." Glad to hear most of you are ok, I hope the people that where not able to check in are fine as well.
Just saw a pretty long Skype interview with Matt Alt on the CBS Morning show. Wow the footage looks devastating, especially that quick moving tsunami wave creeping inland in Sendai. Hope everyone is alright.
This is terrible and incredibly impressive. My deepest thought to everyone here in Japan. I hope you and your family are OK. I wish everyone in the Pacific area will not endure difficult time those next hours too.
Horrible. My thoughts are with those effected in Japan. Good to hear that most everyone sounds to be OK. The Tsunami is on it's way to Hawaii and other countries as well. Best wishes and be safe to all the members in those areas. Looks like it's going to hit the West coast of NA as well, but at Vancouver Island it should only be about 1 Meter when it gets there. The news right now is talking about concerns regarding the Nuclear power plants in Japan... eeeee...
Just watched the news, very sad to see tsunami hitting some area. Heard the news said that float already reaching the car park of the Disneyland. Hopes everyone in Japan are safe.....
Got home OK. Building seems fine. Toys took a group dive. News says train lines are starting to reopen (but not JR yet). All in all, Tokyo seems to have emerged in good shape.
signing in... I think we got off lightly here in Tokyo. My heart goes out to those people in Sendai & the Northeast who've lost homes, & maybe more. The quake was one thing, but the tsunami that followed was quite another. All you guys who live on the Pacific Rim, take care.
My thoughts are with you fellow skullbrainers and best wishes for everyone that is affected by this quake.
Tada from M1GO said that everyone there is okay but the place is a mess (moreso than usual). I've been reading about a nuclear reactor in their prefecture having problems, hope they can handle that.
Glad to hear everybody from the board doing OK. I wonder if this low moon thing will have any real implication
The one reactor's cooling system shut down with the auto shutdown of the rest of it. This is causing some concern. I've heard the reported death tole in Japan is around 100, but there are reports of the numbers being already over 300.
