That the broken features of the forum, like email notification of subscribed topics, etc., will be fixed sometime soon?
I edited my post. The notification did come in, eventually. Maybe the board delays the emails if it can tell you're logged in and viewing the site.
okay so I'm gonna be a lazy prick about it and say that someone other than myself should deal with it and gedda fuckin' move on fixing it already... am I really the only one that is uber annoyed by this stupid shit...? I mean seriously, how hard can it be to fix...? for fuck sake, I'm bleeding all over my panties and can't take it anymore...!!! rag rag rag...!!!
my control panel reads... Watched forums You are not subscribed to any forums. Watched topics You are not subscribed to any topics.
I don't know what to tell you guys. My theory is that the board doesn't bother sending you notifications when you're logged in. Try subscribing to a hot topic and logging out completely, see what happens.
The feature isn't broken for me, which makes me think it might be something on your end. Maybe you have the wrong email address defined in your profile. Maybe you have the right one defined and Skullbrain notifications are being trapped by a spam filter or something. I don't know. Maybe one of the people who pours coffee into the server will chime in.
Ok. if it works for you, then it must be something on my end. The thing that would confuse me about that is that I have not changed anything. The board options just stopped working for me at some point in the not too distant future. I appreciate your attention to this. It is not really that big of a deal, but these days seems like things should work for everybody. I don't use a weird OS or browser or anything. Maybe there was something when I got purged and readded and purged and readded and purged and readded again has something to do with it.
After having my account deactivated and reactivated, all features now seem to work again, including topic reply notification. So not sure whose end the problem was on, but all systems are now functioning.
I am not entirely sure how/why the account became deactivated in the first place. I had been changing a few things in my profile (signature, etc.), though nothing major. Shortly thereafter, the account was deactivated. When I was unable to sign in, Glenn helped by giving me a new password. The I FART A LOT was trying to read the "secret" code - I had to try about 6 times because the code was impossible to read. Finally, though, everything worked.
