Display Help -- LED Strips and Mirrors
Finally upgraded to Ikea Idasen cabinets for both the figure collection and books; had been eyeing them for a few years.

The cases are great; construction is solid and the soft-close sliding glass doors are awesome. And they've got a wiring channel built into the design.

I want to add two things, though: lighting and a mirror finish/film to brighten things up.

Anyone have suggestions on shorter LED strip lighting or maybe chainable strips? There are so many choices for lighting I'd be really interested to hear first hand experiences. The shelves are just shy of 4" wide. Would be great if I could do multiple strips as a single unit with one plug, but can also live with multiple strips if I have to.

And I'd love to add mirror film to as much of the interior as I can. With the lighting it feels like there are too many choice; for the mirrored thing it feels the opposite. I just can't seem to find anything that gets decent reviews. Anyone done this for their displays?

I have these for my display case and am happy with them. They come in different length strips and you just cut them to size. IMO the COB (circuit on board) LED strips look better and give a more even light. They have a remote that you can use to dim them also. When I first got this case I put up some sticky backed mirror panels behind one shelf but decided I didnt like the look.

Just an idea, but if you can find a glass cutter near you, you could probably have a mirror / some mirrors cut to size and then attach them with some double sided tape.
