i found this image on a JP blog long while back and thought some folks may enjoy seeing it as well.. wasn't a production model but seemed like an interesting colorway. not sure its story lost track of the blog info.. really glad to see this sculpt got a bit of notice and appreciation, can't wait and excited to see a new sculpt from Longneck!
I was able to get the two Mandarake versions this weekend, and these are on a whole other level. REALLY nice paint apps on these and the vinyl is nice and solid. The quality on the Longneck figures just keeps getting better, while the style stays nice and sloppy (i.e. cool). My only complaint is the ¥9000 price tag. Ouch.
Add these to the colorway list too... Too many pics to link, thank Sofubi King Damu! http://gold.ap.teacup.com/leo2006/
That metallic purple custom on there is NUTS! Very, very cool. Great shots of the Mandarake releases (much better than anything I could do!) as well.
Wow - that is way different than what I expected from the previous pictures. Me likee a lot! Maybe it's just the last photo but the Demp really glistens. Kind of crystalline in a way.
Look in the back right corner... The blog hints about the possibility of something coming out at SuperFest!
Did the clear with green spray have the same limited number as the clear pink? The reason I ask is that there are a lot of the clear green up for sale but not many of the clear pink.... I would assume that there was probably as many of both but the pink is more desirable.
Yup, both were limited to 24. I think you might be right about the desirability of the pink one, but to be honest they look best together I think the guess about the black King Joe version is probably right on the mark... the gray one just came in the mail today and it's looking niiiiiiiice. Gotta admit I'm getting a little burned out on the release schedule for these guys, though.
Not so true about the pink desirability. Surprising, or maybe not, given the current lack of interest for all vinyls. These are not sold out. For those in town and interested, go get them. One last green left and a couple pinks.
Do you think maybe its too much, too fast for the Dempagons? Or just a general downswing in the vinyl scene?
