    Not that I can think of. This is a Clover design. As far as I know, this is the only one like it that they produced.

    there was a smaller one right? I'm pretty sure I have it boxed up somewhere...

    Yes, there are other Daitarn toys. I thought he meant were there other battery operated type figure like this in the same series (i.e., produced by Clover). There are certainly other battery operated super robot toys from the classic cartoons. There's ones of Gaiking (release in the US as Zargon) and Combattler, for example, that include moving and swappable parts. But these were Popy (or perhaps Bandai) releases, and not quite the same as this in terms of size and complexity. There are also some nice Italian-made battery-operated versions of classic bots, but I don't believe that these include parts swapping, just lights, and possibly walking and sound.

    Oh my! I had the smaller version of this toy when I was very young. I remember I could push the head down into the chest. I also remember hurting myself because the edges were sharp and I used to always catch my fingers in the knee joints when I ran around with it around the house.

    Thanks for sharing, I couldn't find the name of it all this time :)
