The term 'sofubi' has been thrown around and twisted so much that it's basically meaningless at this point.

Just say made in Japan, made in China, or whatever. That's all I think we really want to know when we're paying a premium price for some soft vinyl toy.

I pretty much liken “sofubi” as a brand of soft vinyl, specifically to Japanese origin. China is clearly making soft vinyl toys now themselves, and the quality has been pretty awesome from a couple artists I collect, but not on par with Japanese production. So as far as I’m concerned, both countries produce soft vinyl toys, but only Japan makes sofubi.

I just like to say stuff to see what happens.

In Australia Jelly is called Jam and Jell-O is what we call jelly.

And in the UK, if you say someone is 'Jammy' they are very lucky - ie. 'what a jammy bastard'.
Or you could say they 'have jam on it'.

I have not been keeping up with my dusting living with two cats.

But I did get a soft bristled shaving brush which really helped getting dust out of the nooks and crannies of my neglected babies.

These cats you speak of... are they perhaps pink, with a short curly tails and are more fond of rolling in loose dirt than chasing mice?

I have a cat exactly like that; a beautiful silver tabby, who I swear is a reincarnated piglet!

In the warm weather, she loves to find loose dirt and dust and roll in it; looking at her, you think: pristine show cat but, in actual fact, she is a down and dirty frustrated mud wrestler.

I used to have just one shorthair cat, but I inherited a longhair, and oh my God she tracks that cat litter dust everywhere.
