Those of you who have been around awhile should be very familiar with Chibigoji Toys founded by Skullbrain's own Gojigirl, which started out as a mail order project over 20 years ago before spawning one of the internet's first and foremost webstores to feature Japanese vinyl toys (http://chibigojitoys.com); their "Most Amazing Toys" ads were littered throughout the very first Super7 Magazine. Gojigirl is as OG as vinyl collector's get and now she's passing the torch on to her son Noel to not only run the famed web store, but also open up a store front to service their home town of Baltimore, Maryland. And in addition to a bevy of books, t-shirts and Toho and Tsuburaya vinyl by M1, Marusan, etc., they intend to carry Super7 products as well, so if you live in the Baltimore/DC area or find yourself there, be sure to stop in for a spell and support some of the toy community's really good people. http://www.noveltyhaus.com/home/
YAY! A real brick and mortar store! I will leave my FL paradise for a few days to check it out next week.
Oh man oh man oh man!! I'm at JHU (in Baltimore) and this will likely be my new favorite store. I can't wait to check out all the kaiju!!! Gojigirl, when are you stopping by the store? I'm actually going home to FL (Orlando) for spring break next week so I'm going to try to stop by in the next few days, most likely Saturday edit: also, if anyone checks out the store please post in this thread. i'd like to meet some SBers in real life edit 2: just checked on google maps and the store is very close to AVAM. even more reason to go!
Hi everybodies! Thanks Scott for initiating this thread and all yalls for the interest! The NoveltyHaus 3D Store booted up on Saturnday March 5th and is currently on Level 1. We have initiated Stage Two, we have achieved a jump from 2 dimensional light reflection to 3rd dimension spacial interaction in conjunction with expanding our holographic human mindspace presence with at least one confirmed dreamscape interaction to date. we didn't always exist, but now that we do, we always will. I'd love to have more direct contact with you folks, you can email info@noveltyhaus.com to get to me if you have questions, concerns, ideas, things to sell, store items youd like to purchase or whatevs. The hours as it stands now are Tuesday - Sunday 11-9, closed on Mondays. The phone number is 410-3-HEY-BUB We're just getting started and appreciate all the thought and support! If you can't make it into the shop, which is understandable because there are many boundaries in 3D space, keep checking back to noveltyhaus.com for updates and subscribe to the email list on the website. -N!
does this mean you will each have a table at g-fest? or will you be combining into one unstoppable super-table?
I will be at G-Fest with godzillas planning at this point a ChibiGoji table. Let me know if I need to bring other type cool stuff. I have been in Baltimore over a week and it's time to head south again. The store is really shaping up and will be a toy haven for locals. Collectors will need to ask questions because most of the rare precious booty is at the warehouse and hasn't all made it to the store as of yet. Most people stopping in are totally bewildered and have never seen such stuff before. Sad commentary on the town. http://Www.NoveltyHaus.com New website launching soon
Looks like a great store, and excellent website. I hope to see an online shopping option available soon!
Went to NoveltyHaus today and the store is sick! Got two figures and Noel even threw in a shirt and other freebies . Definitely check out the store when you're in the area - lots of good stuff and if you ask about artists you like you may get something really cool Also got a slice of pie and it was yummy!
In an unfortunate turn of events, we had to shutter the NoveltyHaus storefront prematurely. "Dangerously Delicious Pies has just decided to vacate the Federal Hill location. We were left with a big question. Did we want to take over the space completely? We are not currently in a position to take over the whole 1036 Light St. building at this time, so if they go, we must go also. Instead of getting into a situation we felt would overwhelm us, we’ve opted to pack it up and go back to 2D for now. When we come back to 3D, it will be with the same hard-working resolve, pursuit of universal ultra-radness and expansive new knowledge base. We were very pleased with the wholly positive response from our peers, customers and neighbors! We want to thank everyone for their support and contributions! We made so many new friends and are very much looking forward to the future!" We're going to focus on the webstore and other projects until we can find another spot that was as cool as this last one was. Only we'll dig in deeper so it won't be so short lived.
awwww, i'm so sorry to hear that. hopefully an even better storefront opportunity will present itself in the near future. good luck!
god all this baltimore talk makes me want to move back home. Spend some time eating crabs and runnin down to Fells Point for records.
Hey Coma, if you do make it back to Baltimore, let me know! I'm working occasionally at Celebrated Summer Records in Hampden which is inside of Atomic Books which is a really cool book and toy store!

Sweet! I make my home in Baltimore.. don't know when I can actually get out there (I don't drive), but just knowing it's there is cool.
Novelty haus is a great store. Went there earlier ths year, and found the amazing marmit Alien toy! Will stop by again in a couple months when in baltimore.
just made my first purchase from them & have to say that noel was super-nice to deal with. can't wait to stop by in-person the next time i'm in balto... i lived in charles village from '91-'95. glad to hear that atomic books is still kicking around. i think reptilian went to philly & may no longer have a storefront. sound garden is still around, right?
Had every intention of hitting Comic-Con and dropping in, but oh how life gets in the way. Looking forward to making a trip soon though. It really is such a short drive up from DC it's silly.
