here's the blemish: that's probably specific to my guy. gotta be an imperfection in the vinyl or a bad pull from the mold, right? ...if it was a bigger run, i might ask for a replacement, but i'm guessing koji doesn't have a ton of extras sitting around the studio.
Congrats to Koji for another great toy, and for a good cause to boot. Hopefully one will swim my way, one of these days.
Unfortunately, these little imperfections can't be avoided. In opaque vinyl these would barely be noticed, but they come out even more in clear. Overall I think these are much clearer and cleaner than a lot of other clears I've seen. There are pretty much no drips, the drips that exist are very slight. I'd consider replacing yours, but my website seriously melted down and over sold by almost double the number I intended to sell.
thanks for your post koji...i didn't mean to seem like i was complaining at all. i think most folks on the board know that the production process, especially for clear vinyl *cough* valentine rose vampire *cough*, isn't perfect. my main curiosity is around whether other sametan owners have the same imperfection. all that aside, sametan's an awesome toy and i feel very fortunate to have him in my collection!
i stumbled upon this today. pretty fucked up: http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2011/oct/19/shark-massacre-colombia
Ugh, sickening. It would be one thing if the fins were used along with every other part of the animal (protected status and endangered species notwithstanding) but to kill an animal for one small part is truly disgusting.
Love that guy, great figure Koji! Tre' is an excellent person too, happy to see this figure sell so fast.
