Belkin WeMo switch to automate your display lighting!

I picked up a couple Belkin WeMo switches to automate the lighting in my office toy display and a few other things around the house. They're on sale for $30 each today..

My lighting is set up to turn on and off at a certain time everyday and will also turn on/off based on my location. They're fucking sweeeeeet!!

Speaking of automation, I just created an applet that sends me a notification when Dorogamis are listed on eBay for less than a certain price, using IFTTT..

I fucking love technology...

 

I never thought of using IFTTT for auctions. Holy shit.

I still use a newsreader to keep track of auctions. Ebay hid their RSS feeds, but they still work. Just copy the URL of the ebay search results page and add "&_rss=1" to the end of it. Just another option for anyone who's interested.

 

By the way, the WeMo switches are on sale again for 30 bucks.. Don't sleep!
