It's great to have a resin section here on Skullbrain. Hope you don't mind me posting a photo of my figures to date. I've made a wallpaper to download for anybody interested. http://www.arbito.com/wallpaper *Comming soon - New 'Seekers' ( tall skinny dood ) for the warmholes show @ grasshut June 5th*
Great stuff Arbito. I picked up one of the Cosmic hobo's a while back and bought the black/yellow Patty Power from the Wall of Sound show which I should have once the show closes. Your pieces are ultra clean and really have a pop to them. Great to see you over here and thanks for posting the pictures. That Seeker with the clear jacket just blows my mind.
Awesome to hear Keiboba. You bought the black and green Patty Power (burger)? The yellow one was for the Resin collective show.
They all look great, but the burger dudes, I was blown away the first time I saw them. And was wondering what the story or idea was behind the character. Wish I had one in my collection.
i saw some of these at the le merde show at super7. all of them crazy awesome the burger dude was my favorite. very close to purchasing him. radd work
*skills hot damn the resin movement is giving me the 2009 itch. great work arbito, can't wait to see your new work.
Patty Power and Sammy are characters from a series of paintings I did in 2007. I called the series 'Let's Roll' and the concept was to paint whatever character came to mind riding on a bicycle. The bikes were all the same but each rider different. Each painting was 2ft x 13in. Sammy Patty Power The whole gang
The more I see your resin figures the more I want one. Such awesome and clean designs painted to perfection.
Definitely the best resin on the scene! Just goes to show that resin doesn´t need to look rough and DIY - it can be smooth and clean (and still be DIY). Lovin´ Patty Power! And the psychedelia running through all your work is great.
i picked up the black seeker with the green mouth on his chest. can't wait to see this puppy in person..
You got the best one!!!! Congrats!!!!! I wasn't fast enough on the draw to get one from the GH show, but I did get the only one from Arbito's show at Wall Of Sound music store in Seattle. (Pic taken from Arbie's Flickr) http://www.flickr.com/photos/arbito/3494555333/
