I'll be out there for a couple of days. I'm picking up a new Detolf. If anybody could recommend cool shops, restaurants, anything, I'd really appreciate it. Likewise, if there is anything I can pick up for you while I am out there (dirt, salt, a Book of Mormon) let me know. Thanks
A beautiful if uber-boring town. Not sure there's anything cool there besides the Lagoon amusement park which if I recall correctly is actually outside of of the city limits, and even then, last I heard they'd gotten rid of all the antique and wonderfully dangerous rides and fun house. Enjoy!
You know, in all seriousness, if you visit SLC, you've got to see Temple Square. The architecture is super-cool and the history is certainly interesting, regardless of whatever one's feelings about the church are. Also check out Brigham Young's "Beehive House." As I recall there's a great park with an adjacent mini-amusement park right there.
If you're renting a car, take a drive out ot Snowbird. It's about an hour out of SLC (probably less). The mountains are absolutely beautiful no matter the time of year.
Mountains? Beauty? Nature? C'mon guys! I live in Denver! I'm lookin' for toys! Naw. Just kidding. I'm taking my bicycle and my camera, and I'm going to spend my extra time there soaking up the sun. @ thedrake - I'd like to stop and get some ink, but this board has fleeced me. Money for food gas and a Detolf. That's my budget. Peace everyone!!!
If you want a REALLY good photo, get a bunch of guys to kiss a bunch of guys in front of the cops at Temple Square.
