I know I am still missing a lot of sculpts which have the Hawaii color patterns. Please, pm me if you have some to add to my troops! But here are mine so far... Now, post yours!
Its not, that is the original Bullmark colorway, and it didnt become known as the Tokyo Colorway until Blobpus used it on a headercard when they did a Hawaii Hedorah colorway at the same time, since then some people have been using Tokyo Colorway for the yellow base version.
I only collect the gargamel versions. Otherwise..I'd be spending to much money. I love these colors. They are so tacky.
This thread makes me so happy and sad at the exact same time. Nice stuff everyone! ps Bryce I'm glad you let that solid pink hedo out. He needed to breath!
That half classic/half Tokyo Rokuron is a mind blower! I wish Gargamel would make a Tokyo Rokuron as a production piece. The colors work so well on the sculpt.
Dear Smo9monster, what can I do to be on your testament Those 2 pics made my day. Perfect in so many ways, wow !
hey, JAY. maybe this will interested you? http://skullbrain.org/bb/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=38011&p=581981#p581981
I notice your M1 Yellow Matango have gold paint around the neck and black spray on the chest, is it customs? The one i have is same as smo9monster
Chris was angry at M1 for forgetting the black chest spray so got it done properly! He's a Marmit Vinyl Paradise With his brothers... http://www.flickr.com/photos/fun9us/4050643072/in/set-72157607970543461/
Bonemask nice pic of those beautiful red/green/yellow/black monsters! Yeah Ian's right. I always felt 'Tokyo' version (or is it Mandarake version?) of M1 Matango was missing a black spot on the chest. The Hawaiian version does, why not Tokyo? Also I could never score the M1 painted version and kept losing auctions (which made me even angrier), so I did the next best thing: Bought a blank yellow one and had Paul Kaiju paint it. He did an excellent job and even asked me if I wanted to have gold spray instead of silver for chest hair. We agreed gold would be the better touch. PS I'm going to have an update at then end of the week
Oh here's the update: Wasn't happy with that arrangement because what's the point of having something if you can't see it displayed? Here is Hawaiian/Tokyo 2.0: Basically moved ol' Gamerudon back by taking out a clear plastic box and inserting just a clear box lid for Waila (sp? whatever that plant guy is called) to stand on because he's a thin bugger. Thus enabling more space up front for the mini hedorah etc. Damn 20 figures on one detolf shelf! 10 Hawaiian 10 Tokyo! Amazed I could fit it.
