@badteethcomics, @Roger Ready, apparently the author of the video removed the first video and reloaded it due to some problem he had, it is the little I could understand using the Japanese translator. An apology to those who felt frustrated or cheated for the video.
This was fun to listen to while browsing Mandarake. I remember seeing Lolo post about this IG but hadn't checked it out. Thanks for posting.
That was a fun video. Goto - San is such a sweet man. He’s a very happy and lively dude, and loves to joke around. It’s so awesome that he’s 82 and still so vibrant with excitement for what he does. I really miss the smell of his work station/studio.
@Patrickg2k thank you for sharing the Gotosan video! He makes precision, painting, and color balance look so effortless. Wish I could send a few sets of buta mini blanks to see what he'd come up with! and, thank you @Roger for the Marusan video! So much fun on many levels, I was shocked that he gave the lecture in English . Wish I had that painted book shelves backdrop with the toys scattered about, the perfect background for zoom sessions! p.s. excellent video @sensensempompom , design and process have been a fascination. That paper cutting machine and the fancy machines in Maria's co-op would be a lot of fun to try. Maria is amazing!
dunno if this has been posted but its got a few interesting insights about Goto Sans history I didn't know.
Trailer for first episode of "A Toy Store Near You" S2 featuring Brian Flynn and Super7, shot at the SF store. I rented the episode through Vimeo but is also available on Amazon Prime Video.
