So, I have a little gift for someone who needs it and is willing to do the work. This is a self authoring program. You write about your past and all the emotional stuff that made you who you are. Then you write about who you are now good and bad. Then you write about the vision of who you want to become. It's work but it's the kind of work that helps you move forward. I know some of us here suffer anxieties and depressions. I am doing this project now as part of my summer break projects and it was two for one. It's cheap, imo, and worth it so I'll add the link. But if someone wants to do the work and feels the need to do the work let me know. If there's a list we can go random too.

No. This is SoS. Just offering something other than a toy.

Shared the link so whomever is interested could see the program. I have a free pass code to share for one.

As someone who is currently studying psychology to become a therapist, that is an awesome tool I have actually yet to hear about!

Thank you for posting about it. Writing can be extremely helpful to understanding why yourself or others may behave certain ways, not to mention good to get out of your system especially in times like these ;)

Sadly I’m never receptive to these kinds of therapeutic exercises. I’ve been in treatment for 14 years, I’ve seen them all. Only my most recent psychiatrist had the balls to tell me that I need depression maintenance instead of curative options, because it’s been around long enough and isn’t going anywhere.
If it works for you, that’s great, it’s always good to have another tool in your belt of self-reflection. I’m already brutally honest with myself so rehashing my life would probably just make me sad.

I'm with you there. I love talk therapy to talk about now but being aware of my past meant talking of the past was walking in a circle. In Van Der Kolk's book "The Body Keeps The Score" he talks about alternative therapies to talk therapy for those with childhood ptsd. For me the final fix was a combo of yoga, mediation, and journaling everyday. Yoga brings the heart beat and breath into rhythm which fall apart in trauma. Really, I think one has to get well to get well. A little bit of healing here and then a little bit there.

If you want, hit me up and we can discuss the microbiome, gut, vagus nerve and the body - mind cycle that I am coming to have clear ideas about. Being well can be hard work and takes a lot of dedication.

Either way, hopefully for someone this will be helpful. What I am learning now is how to aim and get better at aiming. That's why I grabbed this project. At 55, finally feeling pretty good, I better develop some skills at hitting the damned target before my vision fades with age.

I’m pretty happy, generally, but if nobody bites on this in a week or so, I may want to try it out. I generally like Dr Peterson, and when he was making the rounds promoting this course, I was curious about it.

Edit: Clean your room! Ha! Gawcha!
