I haven't waded into these waters for several months, 'cause frankly, most of this is just too much to take in and of zero interest to me personally. But I see that I missed....... nothing.
    A couple points though.
    1. actually totally dig Mark's new take on Eyezon. It is a like a potato, and embraces that design to the upper limits. This is just about the most b-movie monster I could see from any toy, that was not directly modelled after a B movie monster. I am not even sure why I like it, but I do, and I own that. The unpainted black is not doing it any favours, and I already dread all of the atrocious MK rainbow metallic explosions that will be unleashed upon it, but that does not mean - like so many of these other horrendous customs - the toy itself is not great. It really is like a super cheesy rubber suited monster and were this in a lighter vinyl, with some soft Yuji-style accents, I think it has potential to be amazing. I'd also point out, fugly or no, if this came from anyone else (HS, NNN) and was not even labelled as an 'Eyezon' you just know it would be selling for four figures right out of the gate. It's not perfect, there are a few elements I would maybe change if I could, but then I am not the artist; but these toys are all subjective. So, if anyone ends up with a giant Eyezon and isn't feeling it, feel free to drop me a line. I think we'd have fun.

Also, as to the giant amoeba from Angry Red Planet, I think you can really see that this is a professionally done silicone prop 'replica' of a cool monster. And it nails it. Charlie definitely has the skill to pull this off. Now, is it a toy? That is a whole other debate. I don't necessarily want to own this on my shelf, but in the same way if a prop master recreated the effects used for Dogora, it would not be as enjoyable as the toy version - they are not the same thing. Put this in front of an 8mm, or due some b&w filtering, and you could have a damned amazing stop motion tribute to a classic film. It's also undoubtedly a one-off piece and whether toy collectors who are also monster movies fans (which is a close parallel) would want to own this, it is not a big stretch; that is what I would guess inspired the posting. There's been far worse posted here, with far less inspiration behind them.

Was thinking ALL of this, honestly, but was too lazy to put it to paragraph myself. Thanks for doing the Lorb's work, pH.

Right on to your tuber take, too.

As a direct counterpoint to both of the above, I am just going to leave this here. I really dig fungi. I love B-movies. I think Japanese monsters rule. But this is just..... not doing it.

“Majingo 1st model” from Hell Painter

So many of the archetypal things from the fugly thread I don't want to see on a toy, somehow fudged onto a property which really have nothing to do, and no need for, them.

Nope. Edition of 20 and 3 colorways. He has a full line of these rubber creations, which he calls toys and pops in bags with headers and all. Can't find photos of the bagged amoeba, but here's a few of his rat bats from the same movie. The back of the headers for these features the amoeba:

Warty purple mushroom dicks. Not necessarily “ugly,” but surely this didn’t have to exist.

Nice to see some people still have a sense of humour, it still surprises me how others take this thread waaaay too seriously. Most of the time I'm mucking about and having a daft laugh ...

It’s Silent Hill Matango. Not saying those two should be mashed up, but it makes a lot of sense when viewed from that perspective.

Man, those RatBatSpiders are INCREDIBLE! I guess I have shit taste in toys, and just like cheap crap, but that does not bother me at all, I am here for my own enjoyment. Fill me a cart with dimestore rack toys and gumball machine prizes and I will love your forever. I don't know what the prices were on these, but I love them. Jiggly toys = total win, excellent movie = super grin. Put those together in something that is plain tons of fun and looks great, and I would be all over that. Heck, if I saw these in a shop, I could care less if they were 'artist' made or what country of origin, I'd grab handfuls in multiple colourways, just to have an army of them, and send some off to friends too. Kidding or not, I actually appreciate you posting those, because it gave me a good feeling seeing 'em.

Oh yeah I didn't consider those worthy fugly-fodder. Although I could have sworn I've seen them on here before and therefore carried out a thread-wide search yesterday looking for them, but aside from hurting eyes and a massive headache came out fruitless. I merely posted them to illustrate how the maker do market the placenta - oops amoeba(!) - as a toy. But glad to have brought these to your attention then :D:thumbsup:

Edit: I left a ratty little treat for you over in Show the love for M1-GO!. I wonder if you know it and if you don't I hope you enjoy it.

Don't look up the price-point, though, if you want to keep the rack fantasy intact. :(

    PS

    Found some pr0n ---

    Haven't had a look yet.
