Does Paypal offer protection on transactions outside of ebay, Skullbrain etc? I've looked over their user agreement at: https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/ua/useragreement-full and still can't figure out if I'd be covered when doing a transaction outside of ebay: Arrange deal w seller Pay via paypal If the transaction doesn't work out (items don't arrive, arrive damaged, arrive misrepresented) paypal would cover me. Reason to do all of this IMO: ebay fees and now state tax. Does anyone have any insight into this? Thanks in advance
There are a few small things to consider above being 100% covered. It is still the best service, but on that rare .05% chance something happens: If a discrepancy comes up it is sometimes hard for PayPal to resolve it. Especially in cases of damaged/missing items. Sometimes it needs to be dealt with by the shipping service. Other times PayPal handles it flawlessly. On items above $250, signature confirmation is needed. It's been discussed somewhere on here before. An extra $5 is worth the protection on an expensive item. I'm sure I'm missing other, super rare, things that PayPal might need, but they are overall really good.
