Hmm... Sculpt is nice but they're just too much of an alter/wall relief/Mayan stelae/sculpture thing and too little toy/figure for me. With no articulation they are mere props, pieces of interior decoration - something Skeletor might have brought with him from a Mesoamerican sojourn to decorate Castle Grayskull if British Museum benefactors hadn’t beat him to it.

I think Frank should be given credit for upping his sculpting game on this one... technically, it's the best thing he's sculpted (that I've seen). It doesn't work for me as a figure, with the legs being the only indication of this being some sort of bipedal creature, but I don't think it deserves too hard a bashing. Way better than some crap in this thread.

the clear is from mexico and this year i think is his partner factories' first time being able to pull clear vinyl. i personally dont want it but im happy they are pushing forward with their original sculpts and new methods (for them). if it was more "toy" less "statue" i would be more interested

That snake looks like he’s hollering at his buddy for smoking all their meth.

I dig the snake guy, has a bootleg MOTU thing going on. Should have a button on the back to spray venom at “Muscle-guy” his arch enemy. I can’t stand the body though.

Those paint jobs are terrible, but KtoKto can sculpt his ass off.

I see some charm in ktokto’s stuff, it reminds me of a bad guy from ghost and goblins, or a monster from a Japanese rpg from the 80s, but it all overdone- the sculpt has so much detail packed in every square inch my eye doesn’t know where to go when I look at it, but no place where he exercised some restraint. And the paint job... just take my thoughts on the figure and replace the word “sculpt” with “paint” and there you go.

Sure, but i would prefer less sculpting talent combined with more taste and originality. Some of the really talented artists disappear right up their own arses, and a search team is needed to find them. I think his mini figures are really cool but these fight size don't work for me. They look lazy in comparison.

Yeah, you can see the influence. I wouldn't object if the price tag wasn't so expensive. You could probably buy at least 4 or 5 actual MOTU KO's to just one of those fuckers.

Looks like he's riffing off the MVH creep worm too.
I can't wait for the inevitable amazing one-off and three-off micro runs!

EDIT: This is really one of the shittiest things I've ever seen on this thread. And that's saying something.

That's a polite way of putting it, but yeah, that was my first thought.

I believe Rich is the most imitated sofubi maker on the scene, and not just recently.

    I find this insanely disrespectful..
Fools Paradise Toys “Snakers” on Jersey, appears to have a snake in his shorts? I make dead baby dolls and this makes me go WTF?! Did Ari Shaffir design this?

Looks like they are changing it. My guess was it was a play on the Black Mamba nickname, since they don't have rights to use the Lakers logo, and not meant to be disrespectful. Seems like there was a lot of feedback people didn't like Snakers. Also i think the folds in the shorts are just unfortunate, maybe a product of the lighting and not meant to suggest any kind of "Snake in the pants"
