They are gonna have t shirts to. I wanna get the She-Ra shirt! Though I will admit the Skeletor cereal looks tempting as a collectors item to display.
There's actual cereal in there? I'm excited for seeing all of the toys that I'd normally would never see in person, regardless of their love or hatred on this board. (For example, the Jynxtoy Gorazon, the heart/skull monster.)
Yep and they even plan on selling decorated cereal bowls and spoons as well at Dcon from what iv heard. Personally iv heard mixed results from ppl on taste of the cereal. I haven't had The interest to buy any yet per say.
The cereal boxes idea feels more in line with the early days of funko which makes me like the idea. A few of the box designs are nice, but wish they didn't rely so heavily on the pop figure design. Guessing that's what will sell them though, so I'm in the minority.
Initially, from what I was told, they weren’t going to have any Pop figures at all, until their community had something of an uproar about it. I like the Marvin and Carlos designs.
I like some if the earlier bobble head stuff they were doing. Honestly the Savage Figures lines are way better than the Pops and would have been cool if they did cereal boxes based off of those.
I'm just trying to debate on which areas to go to first. There's so much damn good Japanese vinyl toys at the con this year. The Medicom booth looks like it will have some classic Gojira and stuff as well.
Need to see what time for Itokin first. If it's first thing Saturday morning, I'll probably be splitting my forces between RXH and Itokin.
I feel like it’s just now setting in that this is just around the corner. I just went from stressed af to super pumped!
good luck with the itokin stuff, last year he sold out exclusively to vendors anyway, getting pretty excited to buy a bunch of sunguts stuff and having the chance to purchase a sam from rich
Idk, for me traveling is super stressful. I don’t really like to fly. Although I have flown around the world a bit, and jumped out of airplanes, I still dread it. I don’t really like to leave Baltimore City. I don’t like to leave my pets. We had to line up a house sitter, it was a whole thing. Finances, work problems, planning wedding/figuring out how to pay for wedding. Plenty of things to stress about! But I guess rn I just wanna have fun dammit!
I went the other way in a sense. I should have been painting some more today but I simply couldn't. There's still tomorrow to finish a couple things, but I think I just needed a break from getting ready.
Everyday I get a little more anxious and wake up earlier without an alarm clock. I'm like a child before Christmas when it comes to any con...the anticipation kills me. Also, stop typing and go paint more.
It's going to depend on how the vendors handle the lines. I am about to witness the madness of first come first served (Refreshment) to seeing for myself MVH very personal line management. It's like one end of the extreme to the other. I am hoping the flipper crews will get distracted by Funko.
The lines and crowds for the likes of Splurrt, Paul Kaiju and MVH are pretty calm. All of the aforementioned are pretty good at keepin’ things chill, as well as fans generally “self policing” themselves/each other and stayin’ cordial. Flippers are pretty easy to spot ‘cause they’re the overly anxious, pouty and breathy ones in the crowd when they don’t get called. I’m also hopin’ Funko will take the trash out for everyone else.
