Whoa... throwback... that pic was taken at the old Super7 in SF’s Japantown. Too bad one-offs are not in bags anymore!
Got my two bags today. And both were the same except the micros. At least both are painted Zags. So pretty stoked about that.
Evolution of the mecha zag. The lucky bags might not be as sweet as in the past but gargamel’s zag love is appreciated
my first year procuring a ggml lucky bag was 2012 and this guy hooked me for life: 2012 Gargamel lucky bag Deathra, painted by ra berthold, on Flickr i don't know if i've gotten anything quite as special since then, but i've always been happy with my bag. i'm loving 3 out of the 4 biggies this year, but only because unpainted GID has never really done much for me. a historic retrospective of lucky bags over the years would be incredible...i'm guessing 50+% of that could be compiled from past skullbrain threads.
My lucky bag has been at my local post office since Tuesday but I can’t get to it because of the snow. This is killing me
I should be getting mine tomorrow after AA took two weeks to ship my order. Hopefully we both get a pleasant surprise
Haha I would but the post office is shut. I’d need to break in to get them (although if it’s closed tomorrow that may become the plan!)
More like tell the USPS to stop being wusses and deliver it! -translated fart from a postal service worker's ass
I think it again comes down to production costs. A clear with guts glow garudan would have been amazing, but would have def raised the costs. I think collectors forget about the cost of molds, multiple vinyl colors, multiple parts, etc. 3/4 if this bag were new or relatively new sculpts/molds. Between arm and head variants, bot variants, and a new bot, we are lucky the cost didn’t increase. And I think very few of us would be willing to pay more for the bags. A custom painted guts is typically $450-$650 these days. With Gargamel not really putting out regular releases, there’s not much income other than customs, so I wouldn’t expect them to lose that kind of money by throwing them in lucky bags, or even saturating the market with guts figures. I would save them for the customs too if overall production was so much lower. But it doesn’t hurt to dream!
