You made me laugh Mark. I still remember that three years ago in the Mandarake cost between 13,000 ¥ and 15,000 ¥ ...
BUY! BUY! BUY! SELL! SELL! SELL! BUY! SELL! BUY! SELL! BUY! SELL! BUY! BUY! SELL! BUY! SELL! SELL! SELL! SELL! BUY! SELL! BUY! BUY!
this is work trying to follow creators for release and lotteries. now gotta fucken ditch ig i thought fb was bad but ig is so whack now. i get feeds of presidents day sales from monday. #suxlife getting tired of all this social shit but the addiction of sofubi toys and other things keep me from just deleting it all
I gather it's the latest and greatest waste of time to outdo the previous latest and greatest waste of time.
Glad an Instagram alternative seems to be gaining traction and hopefully continues to. Facebook needs a swift kick the ass for bastardizing the once near-perfect IG platform. Bullshit algorithm, junk 'recommended' features, ads every 4/5 posts and trying way too hard to cash in on Snapchat's success. Garbage app now with zero signs of righting the ship. If mass exodus to a competitor gets the message across that people are pissed, the more "follow me on Vero" posts the better.
K, I’ve gathered that the main worth-it reason for switching from IG to Vero is that posts show up in feeds listed in chronological order, which is a major plus when you’re talking releases. And not doing that is also the current IG platform’s worst feature. Someone sure took advantage of that issue and owned it.
Hey, if Vero lasts more than a few weeks, I'll maybe make the switch... I absolutely can't stand IG's algorithms. The feeds not being in chronological order, the horseshit ads, and the fact that people I follow who post too often show up as every other image on my newsfeed are driving me crazy. I don't want to unfollow this one chick, but there are only so many photos of the same damn beta fish that I can handle.
I agree, @hellointerloper. As much as I don't want to switch to another social platform, from the feedback so far, it sounds pretty nice. Gonna sit back and watch for a bit tho. Beta fish will always be second best to alpha fish.
I've spent the last two hours trying to upload to Vero and even did a search for someone and all failed. Maybe it's just to heavy or Vero blows in Japan?
It’s been a hit and miss lately. I think there’s high volume traffic at the moment so I wouldn’t worry too much
The fact that Vero is in chronological order is the only reason I joined. Would love if it we could import our IG account into Vero instead of adding everyone piecemeal. Now will the toy lottery entry forms ask for your IG name and Vero name?
I honestly don’t even get the point. Who cares if it’s in chronological order? If your main gripe is for releases or lotto info then why wouldn’t you just turn post notifs on for that person? I mean if I see a post I like I almost never look at the time in whitch it was posted and most times I’ll go to that persons profile and see everything. Yea I’ve missed some.. sometimes ( not even enough to notice) but it’s honestly one of the best platforms for its main purpose.perhaps I’ll eat my words and Hey I’m all for new things but Vero.........it’s a fucking trap!
Vero has no ads at all and doesn't put random people who pay them money into your feed as suggested follows which are Instagram's two biggest issues. My concern is that I heard from three people that it automatically contacted every single one of the contacts on their phone to tell them to join them on Vero. I guess maybe you can opt out but they never had a chance at all. As far as privacy goes Vero seems to not have any.
I said the same thing elsewhere yesterday... Apparently they plan to charge users for access after 1 million sign-ups, and the first million would never have to pay. But who is going to want to pay for a service that people have been accustomed to getting for free for the past 15 years? I know I wouldn't. I either see this going one of two ways: (1) Virtually no sign-ups after they start to charge or (2) They decide to not charge anyone, but start putting ads in, like every other Social Media platform. Also, two major negatives from a user perspective to report on from my side... The app is buggy and slow garbage on Android (Note . I was unable to even upload a single picture, nor was I able to search for a single picture using the #sofubi hashtag. Also, no current browser or Windows app implementation means no PC browsing. I like to browse from PC a lot, so major con to me here.
