I would describe that sculpt as 'trying too hard'.

Honestly i would have bought this toy if they had made a normal bear but NOPE they had to give it huge balls and dick making it look like its sucking itself off.

Can we just make some normal looking animal toys or how about some hot bitches with big tits? I know some of you guys could do that rather than all this sausage fest crap.

 

@moog Yep. That's exactly what I'm getting at. It's like a skeletor cockroach with my Mom's face on the belly, and a Justin beiber hoodie. Why didn't they add headphones, a gold chain and a giant vagina is beyond me.

I think it's great. Not every toy needs to have a complete lack of musculature or only monster proportions to work. Yeah it's much more realistic than most sofubi and seems to favor smoothness over textures but there is nothing wrong with any of that. It's impossible to please SB as a whole because some people get upset when a toy looks too much like other toys and other people are annoyed when a toy doesn't look like anything else. I love stuff that doesn't look like other stuff and this whacked out thing seems pretty original. I also don't really understand the trying too hard thing. I see toys from popular makers that look as though they took 5 minutes to sculpt at most. I would much prefer too much effort as opposed to none at all.

I do respect your opinion though. Always do. I just happen to disagree with it this time.

 

To each their own man not offended. It just seems so thrown together. It's not a homage to anything, it has no story it's just slapped together looking, and yeah looks like a master's of the universe meets game of thrones action figure, not sofubi to me.

 

That is one of the best things about it in my opinion.

I am not a fan of that dick licking bear at all though.

Ah, I see the hood now. I was seeing it as a tall stiff-collared cloak similar to this:


So I will have to downgrade my opinion of it to "having spunk" instead of moxie. Make of that what you will. That bear probably has a lot of spunk too, looking at it.

 

Just went to see the hood and I dig it. It moves and has a different face behind it that rotates around and it can be removed altogether. Click on this pic and scroll through the others in that image. Looks like it would be fun to play with. I think it's got moxie and spunk!

 

Oh wow, that makes it even worse. There's mecha boobs on it's back? Mecha boobs and faces all over it. Seriously, add a dong and it's everything I hate about toys right now.

 

I dig it. Look at the possibilities from twisting the face around or the body or both. It does read a little anime and a bit He-Man but those aren't negatives in my book.

 

I wish his (or hers, I'm not sexist) testicles were coconuts and one had a straw sticking out of it with a little umbrella.
