1st KTW sculpt I have liked in a long time, very Galactus and looks very fun. Kongrats Connell Love the promo pic:
So my first Kenth Toy Works piece came in the mail from The Convict on Monday and i was very excited to get it at. However to my horror though I realized something was wrong as the shoulder armor was slumping off rather easy. I turned the toy around to notice that the main chain holding the shoulder strap in place had never been fully completed. It had not broken off in the bag it was just not there period. So you can only imagine how upset I was. But after that faded for a bit rather than whine to the ppl that sent me the toy i had an idea. I decided to go to one of my local Joan Fabrics stores because i remember they also carried jewelry making tools and link chains for necklaces and such in general. Ended up buying some of this stuff. While the chain i bought was not the same gold color and slight larger than the rest of the toys chains it was only a very small section i needed to make the repair. First time really doing any kind of metal work but it was fairly easy surprisingly since no welding was involved. And the chain was fixed. Actually after this picture I took out the second chain link and just kept in the one to tighten the shoulder armor up a bit better. So now im very happy with the toy. The paint job is incredible on this piece. The shark surfboard is badass and i really like the extra inclusion of the luchador mask for this particular version!
Thanks! Yeah it helps to live in a highly populated urban area with many shops as well. There are actually quite a few art stores around where i live. So finding the tools is much much easier than living in an area mainly populated by just country road and fields. The overall quality of the toy and the paint is truly fantastic in person though!
Won the Madballs Horn Head Coin Bank. I really loved this toy when i was a kid! I used to also have the tryke with the catapult back in the day. I've no idea what happened to that thing (so far i've only found Horn Head's head back).
