Dude thank you for posting that! I browsed their IG heavily and couldn't find a solid answer. You have uncovered that answer! Thank you! No more running around Target like a mad man

I was too so I had to research it. As of right now Mondo, KidRobot and American Greetings are or have released Madball re-issues or re-imaginings. American Greetings is the company behind those new variations found at Target/TRU/Walmart...(Which I still have yet to find, but are apparently dropping on the 17th)

Thanks folks! I assume they're all different scales and/or materials. I know KR is doing their stuff in vinyl.

I may check out what hits Target, but that's it. These are a little after my time, nostalgia wise.

Got my single Mondo vinyl Slobulus today and I'm pretty impressed!! Kind of wish I bought the whole set even though I'm not a fan of Hornhead.. might have to spring for a Skullface though. They are about the size of a giant orange/Gargamel mini Zag in diameter, packed full of details. Great packaging as well.

I was finally able to get my hands on some of the new foam versions at Target yesterday. Things are looking up. They had Oculus, Dust Brain, Meemie, and Skull Face but Oculus was really the only one I was happy with as the rest had a TON of imperfections which were slightly off putting. Also grabbed a GID skull face and a mini oculus from the bags.

They were next to a lot of those "gross" toys....like those weird gacha-type grocery toys and some of those K'nex mini figs. One aisle over from the Star Wars toys if I remember correctly.

Gotcha, thanks. I keep getting hung-up on the LEGO Batman mini-figs and forget what else I want to look for.

Ah ha! Thanks, that was super helpful. Looks like I missed some at the Target I was in last night, but they have them at my usual spot, too. Really just want to grab a few of the blind baggies and see what my kid thinks of them.

Have you all been finding cruddy quality ones? The ones in the Target near me are pretty shoddy. One of the two Skull Faces they have has a chunk of foam ripped out of it's face.

Bought four bags today, there are definitely numbers stamped on the bottom back of the bag that will help to avoid repeats. Of course I didn't think to check the numbers as I opened the bags, but I got Skull Face, Dust Brain, Horn Head and the Ultra Rare GID Skull Face. Numbers were 001, 002, 004, 007. But like I said, I don't know which numbers belong to which Madball. No pic yet cuz the kid left with two of them. She was disgusted at first, but managed to sneak away with both Skull Faces.

Just Play minis found at Target and other brick and mortar stores. Numbers are imprinted on the very bottom of the package, on the back.

    001 - Skull Face
    002 - Horn Head
    003 - Screamin' Meemie
    004 - Dust Brain
    005 - Slobulus
    006 - Oculus
    007 - Glow Skull

    Edit: for typos and clarity.

Just went to Target and can confirm that the double-0 number "theory" is legit. My girlfriend an I were rummaging through the bags like desperate crack heads. It was awesome.

i believe Toys R Us and Wal-Mart are receiving them as well. Dunno about a UK release though.

I agree for the most part, Slobulus and Hornhead are legit though.
